Episode 43

Night came faster, I got a call from Mr Ayodeji telling me to hurry down to the island, i sat beside deji who was driving.

I went through my instagram page I had over 300k followers now, it was booming with notifications as usual.

I uploaded the picture I took these night and captioned it Showtime, I kept strolling through pictures on instagram which kept me busy till I got to the event center.

I called Mr Ayodeji who came out with two hefty bouncers who are to be my guard for the night,we talked for few minutes backstage,it almost got to my turn to perform.

I signalled to deji who brought out two bundles of 100k, I had it in mind to spray my fans, they showed me love from the very beginning.

The show went well, everyone danced to my hit song, I sprayed the crowed money, some even threw theirselves on the ground to pick the money.

The bouncers guided me backstage where mr ayodeji shaked me for a job well down, someone called my name from the back.

I looked back to see the one and only hottest artiste in Africa Wizkid.

Wizkid got on stage and performed one of his song before calling me up on stage, the crowd went wild because wizkid introduced me like his brother.

We performed together with the crowd singing every bit of it, We left the stage together, we exchanged numbers before going different ways.

I was so happy as Deji drove to the hotel we were lodged to sleep for the night,I entered my room as Deji left for his own room.

I quickly showered and fell on the bed before hearing a knock on the door, I stood up lazily to open the door, the beautiful figure standing before me got me shocked.

Episode 44.

Eniola walked into the room and layed onn the bed, I looked shocked wondering how she knew my hotel room, I joined her on the bed looking at her beautiful face.

Eniola: You can’t even give me a hug, ain’t you happy am here

Me: No, don’t say that, I was just shocked how you knew my hotel room, besides you never told me you were coming.

Eniola: Sorry about that tho, I got your hotel room from Deji, I missed you Tony

Me: I missed you too, so how you doing, I missed my two babies

its just been three weeks now and God has blessed me so massively, I prayed before I slept off knowing fully well Media houses and bloggers will post the news as tomorrow morning headline.

Episode 45

I woke up the following morning, eniola already woke up before me playing candy crush on her phone, she noticed I was awake and moved closer to me giving me a peck before telling me good morning.

Me: Baby, Am hungry

Eniola: Why won’t you be, after fucking like a horse last night

Me: are you kidding me, you did most of the job besides looking at those two babies I think am no longer hungry(licking my lips)

Eniola left the room and arrived with room service pushing a trolley in containing our food, We ate and gisted all three of us laughing together, it was time to check out of the hotel

we checked out of the hotel and escorted Eniola to where she parked hercar, I kissed her goodbye before heading to our own car.

I called my mum and asked where she was, she told me she’s almost at the airport with her driver and Shade.

I signalled to deji who understood, we arrived muritala muhammed international airport past 10, I located my mum who told me where she was.

Me: ekaro ma(good morning ma)

Mum: How are you papa,Can I see the tickets

Me: it’s a Business class ticket ma

Mum: Why couldn’t you just buy an Economy ticket

Me: nothing ma, I just decided us to have some privacy and be free

Mum: Is deji coming with us

Deji: No ma, just you and him

Mum: Ok

Shade came towards me giving me a hug, we entered the airport to check in, I noticed strange movements around my mum, she seemed to be walking weakly.
I called Cara and told her we about to move, she wished me safe journey.

we got to where we supposed to check in when my mum stopped, Shade asked why she stopped but she couldn’t speak.

i walked back to her when she suddenly fell and slumped, I started shouting her name, Deji shouted for emergency.

Everyone had started recording the scene while some of them taking pictures, Emergency came immediately and carried my mum on a stretcher down to the ambulance.

I entered the ambulance with her holding her hands, crying and praying while Deji drove behind us with Shade.

Episode 46

We arrived ikeja general hospital within 20 minutes, my mum was quickly wheeled to the operating room, people noticed me as I walked up and down talking to myself, some took pictures but I careless that moment, Deji walked in with Shade who was already crying.

Deji: Howfar, have they said anything yet

Me: not yet still waiting

Shade: Bro don’t cry, the more you cry the more I keep getting scared

Me: ok,ok I won’t cry any longer

Two hours past doctors and nurses kept entering the ward without giving me any information about my mum until I saw a doctor telling the nurse to bring in oxygen.

I immediately fell down, a doctor walked to me and asked me to sign some paper assuring me everything is going to be alright.

It was getting to three hours now, I couldn’t wait any longer, I moved to the room they were in.

I peeped through the window and saw them hitting her chest trying to make her breathe, tears started dropping out of my eyes.

They kept on trying for few minutes before one of them signalled to the other doctor telling him we lost her.

I still didn’t give up until I heard one of the doctors say time of death 2.07pm.

I shouted and started crying the doctors looked and saw me at the window, one of them ran out to me telling me to keep calm

shade and deji knew what happened, shade couldn’t come closer, she kept on crying Deji walked upto me crying too.

Everyone who stood watching the scene some cried while some captured everything in a bad mood.

Me:Deji, car keys please(faint voice)

Deji: What for

Me: Deji car keys( I shouted on him)

He immediately gave it to me, he knew I needed some space, Shade moved closer to hold me but I removed her hand from mine telling her to follow deji home.

I got to the parking lot and entered the car, I zoomed out of the hospital and drove like a mad man down the road.

lastma officials waved for me to stop but they noticed i wasn’t stopping so they moved out of the road and followed me in their vehicle.

I drove like a mad man and stopped in the middle of the road hitting the steering hard, I started crying, the lastma officials stopped behind me and asked me to get down from the car.

I ignored them, one of them noticed it was me and signalled to the others whispering him he heard on the radio just now that I lost my mum.

They left immediately leaving me behind, my phone started ringing, I checked the person calling and saw cara’s name on the screen

I ignored the call and rested my head on the steering, she called back again and these time around I had no option than to pick up the call.

Me: Hello

Cara: Baby, just listen to me now okay

Me: Whats wrong

Cara: Your mum is gone, crying wont solve the issue on ground, you got a responsibility to your siblings, you ought to be the one talking to them cheering them up, if they see you in such position what do you expect them to do

Me: I know I know but she’s gone, sounding like a dream Cara, am hurt(crying)

Cara: I know how it feels baby, now I need you to turn back and drive back home, please do these for me, Deji called to let me know he was scared because of the way you drove out.

Me: okay love I will

We talked for a bit, she tried to make me laugh but it failed. She gave up and told me to drive back home before ending the call.

I called Deji who already called me 9times but I didn’t pick.

Deji: hello tony, where are you

Me: Am driving back home, where are you guys

Deji: on our way back home too, Her body has been taken to the mortuary

Me: okay, give the phone to shade

Shade: Hello egbon

Me: Hope you good, I need you not to cry please, go back home with the driver and pack some few clothes including Michael , you guys are going to be with me till everything dies down

Shade: okay bro, please don’t cry or think about anything, she’s in a better place now

Me: Thanks sis

I dropped the call and headed back to the GRA, my phone started ringing, I looked at the screen and saw it was Eniola, definitely everybody already knows.

Eniola: am so sorry for your loss Tony, it’s really painful

Me: Thanks dear, I believe shes in a better place now

Eniola: Can I come over now, probably if there is anything I can do

Me: Actually nothing, but if you want to come over you welcome

Eniola: Okay, hold on my dad just walked in, he wants to speak to you

Mr Ayodeji: Tony, so sorry for your loss, how you feeling now

Me: Feeling bad but all the same am thanking God

MR Ayodeji: Great, make sure you take care of yourself

We talked for a bit before I ended the call with the excuse of me driving, I drove back home to think about planning the burial, I want her buried within a week

I got home and met Deji who was watching hiptv news, I sat down opposite him watching T.v at the same time thinking deeply.

I saw my name come up on the screen with scenes of the hospital especially when I cried with Headline saying Pablo’s mum death throws Social Media on fire.

I Couldn’t believe whati just read, I ran upstairs to get my phone.

I logged in twitter and checked the Nigerian trend, the number one top topic trending was R.I.P Mum Pablo with almost 80,000 topics, with almost everyone saying R.I.P.

I Went back downstairs and saw Shade and Michael around, immediately they both saw me they ran to hug me.

I wipped off their tears before asking them to go freshen up, I walked to the bar beside the parlour and took a drink with two glass cups.

Me: Bro, so she died at last

Deji: Bro its all in the past now, you have to think of moving forwar, you got two siblings to cater for and thank God, they not kids anymore

Me: I understand bro but still wondering how am going to manage the companies

Deji: That’s not a big deal, we will sort that out later

Me: Ok, I want her buried within one week bro, wait a minute I don’t think my uncle or other family member knows yet.

I dialled my uncle and told him what happened, he started crying that he couldn’t pick the call anymore, his daughter talked to me for a bit before ending the call

Deji: so what should we do about the burial plans

Me: I don’t know yet, uncle has to decide, but all I want is for her to be buried within one week.

Deji: Sure bro

We talked for sometime before eniola called to let me know she’s almost at ikeja.

Shade cooked for everyone in the house, after eating michael and deji resumed playing their game as usual while Shade came over to rest her head on my lap.

Me: you are not serious o, you still think you a small girl(smacking her head)
