What is there to chase? The accent, the coarse appearance, the tribal marks, the low ambition or the ostentatious lifestyle .
I think Yoruba men are the ones doing the chasing. Jut like they chase any shiny thing on skirt.

I get annoyed sometimes too but I take it in stride, I am quite tall 1.8m and very very dark but I happen to have a pointed nose(its God that put it there not my doing) so my face is soft and easy on the eyes next thing I hear is you must be from delta or ibo or calabar you can't be yoruba.
