Should I Seek The Help Of A Babalawo(native Doctor) by Nobody: 9:16pm On Oct 15, 2016
My brothers and sisters, I am really tired of this life! I have prayed and prayed and prayed.........no show!
Fasted and fasted and fasted.. ........no show! I am fed up and I feel like sleeping and not waking up again. In fact, I pray for death any time I want to sleep, cos I can't commit suicide..........not because it's a sin, but because I don't have the guts sad

At 37, I have no job, no wife, no child/children, no friends, no girlfriend, no money! Nobody to talk to, cry to or complain to!

I lost my job years back, and since then, life has been hell! My most trusted friend that I helped when I was working, got a better job and abandoned me.......he doesn't even pick my calls! I guess he doesn't want to be associated with liability!

I've been submitting CV's since I lost my job, but all to no avail. I treck long distances at times, on empty stomach. I recently trecked from fadeyi to ikeja!

Now, I am thinking of visiting a babalawo to ascertain if someone is behind my predicament or maybe I caused it myself.......what Yorubas call "afowofa"
I'm certain that something is wrong somewhere! It is spiritual!

Who can help me with the link of a good babalawo?

Frustration and depression is far better than what is happening to me! I need help before I loose it!

lalasticlala please help a brother

There are lots of pity stories on here and they work because some have been scammed by them. I hope yours isn't one. While you've talked about your hardship, you've failed to mention your educational background and work experience. It's not enough to say you're needy and have worked before, you should be precise about your background.

Lol... The babalawo part got me. However, it's safe for me to say you shouldn't invite troubles upon yourself, the one Yorubas call 'ogun af'owo fa'. It could be ordinary or perhaps something you're not doing right. Not every human problem has a spiritual angle. Perhaps it is high time you changed on certain issues.

1. Associate more: I wouldn't know how well you do this but my putting this first is inspired by a thread which graced the FP about a day or two ago. Associate more and open up to people. You can't tell who'd be capable of helping.

2. Clearly define what you submit: Interestingly, I have come to discover that we have a way of lumping a CV and a resumè into sheets of paper of soft copy formats believing they're one and the same. Since you have worked in the past, I'd recommend you get a standard resumè template. A resumè basically tell things about your professional life, rather than educational and personal life. If your DOB have been surfacing in your sheets, now is the time to take it out. Only submit a CV when it is requested for.

3. Exploit or rather take advantage of your place of worship: No doubt, one of the fastest ways of linking up with people are often in places of worship. Regardless of your faith, it would be better you spread your tentacles by informing people within this circle of your need, particularly securing a job. I know it can be hard opening up to people without thinking what they'd think of me or say about me.

4. God factor: God haters might say there's no such thing as this, but know that a man who does not believe in something stands for nothing. Perhaps you're a Christian or a Muslim, it is clearly obvious that your faith at this point is shaky, probably due to frustration and the need to get urgent answers to your prayers. Stay in faith and just keep trusting God or whatever it is you believe in while you intensify your efforts by observing a thing or two which you haven't been doing before now.

5. Detail and Modify your post: Like you stated, you can do anything, but what is anything exactly? I believe there's a need to let in some details in here as it might cause someone to look your way.

PS: Herbalists would exploit you and offer no solution at the end. Cheers.

@op..Go and seek spiritual help asap for spiritual backings. Don't allow education block your reasoning on spirituality oo! , because I'm talking from real life experience. To those advising the op to shun babalawos, see! He didn't said he need do ritual money but just need spiritual help to restore its lost glory. Believe it or not they are people *witch, enemy, wizard, hater* that are trying to pull you down no matter who you are, position or status...Just prepare there own food for them to allow you go.

Babalawo never settle him own predicaments nor his children own let alone your own case. The only thing I know Babalawo can do is compound your problem. Persistence and perseverance is the key. Even those spiritual whatever u want to take your problem to will only see and add to your problem by making everybody around u a suspect thereby creating fear in u and will never give u solutions

Dude, you will be wasting your time praying, fasting or doing occult with babalawo because there is no God or Satan to attend to you both ways.

What gets you a job is your intelligence, network or sheer luck, not God or Satan.

Have you tried teaching or security work? They are the easiest jobs to get because many people don't like doing them. Put your mind on jobs that people don't like, it can increase your chance.

While you do the teaching or security job, Try your best to buy at least a desktop computer and a phone with wifi internet. And follow jobs listed on job/vacancies board on Nairaland or other sites and continue submitting your soft copy CV. Most of the jobs are online now.

Check the requirements wanted by employers and see if you can learn those skills to be better qualified.

The marrying aspects are trivial if you get money bro.

This how you know your stand,

The first is to discover purpose ...only God can reveal this to you

The second is to learn a trade.. acquire a skill or set of skills.. this skills should be inline with your purpose,

Another way to easily fins your purpose is to get the real picture of your self image, this will give you a clue of your highest aspirations in this life,

The starting point with regards to learning a trade could be what you can do for humams with your knowlege in chemistry, from there... miove on to your selfimage.

help him by giving him a reasonable advice by telling him how to survive not telling him abt prayers. Mtchew.
