He's right. Most times, jaundice manifest 2-3days after birth that's why you are advised to take your baby to a paed 2-3days after birth for a well baby assessment. Please follow the proper hospital procedures to overcome the jaundice. pawpaw water for a newborn be careful !

He was admitted yesterday and is undergoing phototheraphy.

I speak from my own personal experience with my 2 kids.
I never buy Huggies newborn, I start with size one, take some to the hospital and leave the rest at home. Then once they're done with that size ( in about 2 weeks), I move on to size 2. Except for Atinuke where I had a gift of Kirkland size one diapers.
My kids we're born 3.1kg and 3.2kg. They never really grow big and chubby and size 2 doesn't look too big on them (not as cute as size one), no blowouts too.
Moyo used Huggies all through till size 4. We didn't potty train till he was 2 and could speak. In fact, his leftover size 4 like half a carton was recently used by his sister ( she isn't one yet o and very skinny someborri like that). That is why when people ask opinions on diapers, I'm usually quiet as I am just learning about new diapers ( thanks to recession ), but Huggies, I will quickly hurry and chook mouth.
I think the good thing about Huggies is the fit at the thighs and the waist.

That is my opinion.
I used it and it fit. If you haven't used it, how can you say it won't fit?



My SiL gave us like 3 big packs of size 2 diapers when her baby wasn't even 3 months old. It was tooooooo tight on the baby, baby is a mini sumo wrestler and my own Iya kekere wore size2 till 6 months.

Hope morning sickness has finally left our dwelling places. My own morning sickness was SPECIAL. It's officially the worst thing I've had to go through in my life. God forbid it again for me. I lost 7kg, cuz I could literally not eat anything, for weeks but on the bright side, I can now fit into all my sexy old clothes that stopped fitting me way before pregnancy.

Finally did my first scan last week at 14 weeks and was so shocked to see how big the baby looks, and that he survived all that stress .

I actually now have a visible bump, could still pass for someone that ate too much Amala, but it's still a bump and it's there LaDivva, how's yours coming

Please can y'all come and give updates, I promise not to go AWOL again lol.

U will c the inside of your skin... red and looks like it has open wound. It won't bleed, use mirror or call hubby to help u check he will know if it looks better. If the place heals, u can't b resutured again, d earlier d better.

Even with CS, you can use it. Make sure the brand you buy does not end right at the surgery site. It should either be high up or cover the site completely. Also, you can't start early. You have to wait at least 6 weeks.

Lucioustrish my son is in d same condition, av been in d hospital since I gave birth. we just got home from hospital, but went for check up yesterday D levels started rising again. Pls any home remedy for this. My baby's jaundice is caused by ABO incompatibility. Am o+ and he's B+. He has been on phototherapy for 5 days. At a point they were talking of blood transfusion but God took charge and it started dropping b4 we were discharged. Now it's rising again.
I believe God will help us this time. Any mama that has home remedy for this should Pls throw more light.

I still went to the hospital sha to confirm and they said exactly what you said. Didn't even know I had haemorrhoids. Was quite surprised. But the symptoms fit.

I had to go and check the cartons of diapers too as well. To be sure of what I was saying cos I'm pretty sure my baby still swims in size 1 Huggies and he's almost 11lbs.

As per the bolded part, ma'am please read my previous post, I speak from experience as well. I've actually used Huggies and I'm pretty sure my 11lbs baby swims in Huggies size 1. Both The Huggies Snug and Dry and also the Huggies Little Snugglers, though the Little Snugglers seems to fit better than the Snug and Dry. I've used at least 4 kinds of diapers for him cos I got them at his shower so I'm kinda versed a bit on how each of them fit.

That said, I read diapers for different on different kids anyways, probably cos of different builds. I'm not disputing your opinion, I just added mine. Thanks.

My own leg cramps na 'winsh', it only happens at midnights (btw 3am - 4am) . Anyways i used to have them pre-pregnancy but it has become more painful with pregnancy.

My home remedy is ice or very cold water. DH puts it in a towel and holds it on that spot and after a few mins it stops.
I haven't used compression socks so I wouldn't know.

When I complained at ANC, my dr told me to talk short walks in the evening as a form of exercise, but i haven't tried that yet.

Please please please. Take him back to the hospital ASAP!!!!! I don't mean to scare you, but my son had exactly the same issue. ABO incompatibility...mom O+, baby B+. Bili level of 16.9 at 2 days old. He spent two weeks at the Neonatal ICU (NICU) and received 3 doses of IVIg.

The hospital should never have discharged the baby in the first place until they are sure that baby's bilirubin levels kept going down without the bilirubin lights.(At least 3 days in a row where levels drop without treatment from the lights).

what is this ABO incompatibility, both of my kids are B+ and I am O+, when they were born there was no issue at all.

i started my baby on size 2 huggies snug n dry cos size one was small for her and she was 3.6 at birth.
this diaper thing is nt just my weight alone sha cos i hv bum bum n hip so my baby follow suit.infact at 4 month she ws on size 3 huggies.
