The thing is Mancity have a couple of fantastic wingers and attacking midfielders. So the only way they can really utilise Iheanacho is to play him as a SS or CF.

Reverse is the case in the Super Eagles. We dnt have quality AM (the number 10). We have fairly descent strikers. If Iheanacho plays as a striker, who plays the number 10 role? Though Iwobi too can play as a 10 bt he has in more recent times been more effective from the wings.

Iheanacho has always been an AM / RWF. It is TheGoodJoe and his City coaches they see him as a striker.

When once you have a fantastic creative attacking midfielder who can finish, then you have a brilliant striker in the making.

Sigurdsson played brilliantly as a top man for Swansea yesterday against Arsenal. Although he is a creative midfielder, Bradley noticed he can finish and Sigurdsson delivered yesterday.

When you look at Messi, he is great at a lot of things, crossing, passing, dribbling and pressing. However, his finishing is one of the best of all time.

When he played regularly up top, very few came close.

Iheanacho has the creative midfield attributes. I doubt any serious City fan or coach doubts that. His best ability is finishing. He finishes better than he crosses, Passes, press, or marks. To get the best if him, playing him up front achieves this.

That was why he made the headlines last season and will make more headlines.

"At his age, his finishing around the box puts him in a class of his own. He usually scores five goals during our training sessions.

"Once you give him the space and allow him to control the ball around the goal area, he can convert three of the five chances he gets. He is that good."...Manu Garba on Iheanacho's finishing.

ALAMPASU PLEASED HE IS NOW PLAYING
REGULARLY IN PORTUGAL

Alampasu with his agent Orelaja (right) at Feirense

Nigeria goalkeeper Dele Alampasu has said he is
delighted he is now playing regularly in Portugal
after he moved on loan from Feirense.

Alampasu left newly promoted Portuguese
Primera Liga club CD Feirense for FC Cesarense in the lower division.

The former Nigeria U17 goalkeeper has now
played all the games for Cesarense since joining
them, and he says he hopes to return to his
parent club a better player.

“I am playing regularly here now,” he said.

“My target is to return to my parent club a much improved and better player and that way I stand a better chance of earning the number 1 shirt there.”

The 19-year-old Alampasu surprised not a few
people when he left Feirense on loan in the
summer, as they had been promoted to compete in the Portuguese top-flight, returning to the lower division with Cesarense.

“I didn’t have enough playing time at Feirense
which is not good for my development,” he said.
“I am still a player of Feirense, as I’m only out on
loan, but I left because I needed to be playing
games as I couldn’t get better with only training.”

How I describe Nacho sums it all up.... He's a No.10/No.9 Super Hybrid. An AMF who can play comfortably as an SS and a ST/CF.

A No.10 who can finish better than most no.9s. His finishing ranks among the top two of his many wonderful attributes, the other is His "Vision" smiley

A Super Hybrid "Forward" who's naturally endowed with the characteristics of an AMF (no.10) and RWF but is also a keen operator as a no.9, a false 9 and a support striker.

Look, Pep Guardiola better not turn a blind eye to Nacho's international games for Nigeria. He better look into how Nacho sets up also in the Super Eagles.

Nacho will score loads of goals playing behind the striker for Nigeria. His Vision, quick thinking, and finishing are world class. Pep berra not limit him to just the "aguero role" coz Nacho offers much more than Aguero as an all-round forward.

I don talk my own. I dey watch Pep and the man city midfielders in 3D and HD.

UCHE AGBO NOW 19 GAMES AWAY FROM
SEALING WATFORD TRANSFER

Nigeria’s Uche Agbo is now just 19 games away
from completing his transfer to Premier League
club Watford from Granada in La Liga.

Agbo has signed a four-year contract with
Watford but he can only move to England if he
has played 25 games or records 75% of
international games with Nigeria.

Compatriot Isaac Success completed his move to Watford this season after he made 30
appearances in La Liga for Granada and scored
six goals last season.

The 20-year-old central defender or defensive
midfielder has yet to debut for the Super Eagles
even though he got his first-ever call-up for the
recent World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

It is looking more like his quickest route to the
Premier League will therefore be his appearances for his La Liga club.

On Saturday, he came on as a second half
substitute for Granada as they were battered 7-1 by league leaders Atletico Madrid.

It was his sixth appearance, a figure he achieved all of last season.

Interestingly, new Granada manager Lucas
Alcaraz played him in his more familiar defensive
midfield than as a central defender, the position
he has played in his first league matches this
season.

Granada are rock of La Liga with two points after eight matches.

CHELSEA BOSS CONTE HAILS 'FANTASTIC'
VICTOR MOSES

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has again praised Victor Moses after he scored from his new wing-back position in a convincing 3-0 home win over Leicester.

Victor Moses scored in the 80th minute before he was replaced by fellow Nigerian Olaoluwa Aina two minutes later.

“When I arrived at Chelsea I told the club I
wanted to see Victor in pre-season because I
knew him very well and I knew about his great
potential. He played well as a winger when we
were playing with a 4-2-4,” Conte said after the
game.

“He’s a very good player, now he’s playing as a
wing-back and it’s fantastic because he pays
great attention in defence and can go one against one in attack.

“Alonso always played this role but Moses is a
winger. His education is fantastic. I’m pleased for him.

“If someone shows they deserve to play I have no problem, I don’t care about the surname.”

@bolded.... Ikechukwu Ezenwa belongs to the 2007 Flying Eagles Class NOT the 2009 class.

And he's not the only one from 2007 still around either (Brown Ideye, Elderson Echiejile).

Even the 2009 class had a certain Ighalo, Raheen lawal, Rabiu Ibrahim and even Sone Aluko in their midst. smiley

A very impressive interview.

Now that the national team seems to be more attractive, it is an opportunity to pouch on Nigerian players with dual citizenship. However, there should be fairness in the assesment of these players. We need the best.

I learnt Rohr has volunteered to support the female national team coaches. He should just leave them and focus on scouting Nigerian players in Europe.

We need to shop for a RB and LB. The coaches should just do the needful.

I learnt Ikechukwu Ezenwa, the only "surviving" product of the 2009 Flying Eagles, has landed an Athletico Madrid deal. Good for him and for Nigeria. Goal keepers get better with age. So at 27 he has not hit his summit. I dnt buy the idea of calling back enyeama if we make it to the World Cup cos we have trusted gloves in the team. Carl Ikeme has made us not to miss Enyeama.

The future is bright for this team but it is not time to celebrate yet. "We are not there yet"

Our next game is key.

Aluko scores in Fulham win

Sone Aluko continued his rich vein of form in front of goal on Saturday as he scored in Fulham’s 4-2 win over Barnsley in the Championship.

The Nigerian forward hit a fine finish in the 42nd minute to ensure the Cottagers went into the break level after goals from Marley Watkins and Sam Winnall had come either side of a goal from Chelsea loanee, Lucas Piazon.

Aluko’s goal exemplified a cool head and
predatory finishing at its apex as he latched onto Stefan Johansen's flick on to get in behind the Barnsley defence.

With Adam Davies in the Barnsley goal making
himself big, Aluko maintained his composure to
slot home.

It was his third goal in the campaign as he
continues to play his part in Fulham’s charge to
win promotion at the end of the season.

After a difficult fortnight for him and Fulham,
Aluko was pleased at the dramatic turnaround as he promptly took to Instagram to voice his
sentiments.

“What a contrast. The joy of scoring and the win today compared to the final whistle 2 weeks ago. #PrayedForThatFeelingFor2Weeks #
ThankYouJesus,” he wrote on Saturday.

Tomorriw, some midguided people will say we use old men in youth foitball.

If we got Yobo and Enyeama from 99, got Mikel and Taiwo from '05, Ezenwa and Ideye from '07, Ighalo from '09, Omeruo, Musa and Onazi from 2011 still there, Kelechi and Isaac from 2013 and Osimhen, Okonkwo and Nwakali from 2015 still coming...what are we talking of?

Nigeria ought to be the Arsenal of African football teams considering our turnover rate for junior to senior teams, or which African team has a better record?

Mehn!! That Malian team of 99 produced several of their stars in keita's era... Ghana's 2009 U-20 team produced like four to five players still playing today for them.

But down the years and back to the present.... in answer to your question, I will say "NONE". No other African nation has a better record of seeing their cadet and youth stars turn out for their senior teams. NIGERIA TAKES THE UNDISPUTED FIRST POSITION. smiley

As for the misguided people.... Trust me... Looollll... We haven't even seen or heard the last of them. Negative people must always abound no matter what....

CSKA MOSCOW TO RE-SIGN AHMED MUSA IF
LEICESTER MOVE FLOPS

Ahmed Musa - Tough going at Leicester City

Russian champions CSKA will be willing to re-sign Nigeria star Ahmed Musa should his big-money move to Leicester City crash.

Ahmed Musa reportedly cost the Premier League champions 18 million pounds in the summer when he joined up from the Russian army club.

However, the Nigeria winger has yet to explode in the Premier League as widely expected as
Leicester have also struggled to match the run
they chalked up last season.

“Ahmed is still loved and highly rated at CSKA,
where he played for five seasons and there are
strong indications that should he for any reason
fail to shine in England, they will be only too
happy to resign him,” a source close to the
forward revealed.

The 24-year-old Nigeria star, who has been
nominated for the CAF African Footballer of the
Year 2016, has made five appearances in the
Premier League for ‘The Foxes’ with only two
starts and has yet to find the back of the net.
Leicester City are 13th on the table, while CSKA
are second on the table in Russia with 21 points
from 10 matches, a point behind leaders Spartak Moscow.
