Bros. Go and enjoy your export. All of us cannot face the same direction

I prefer to enjoy both sides, so, thanks and I wasn't exactly suggesting you do export, was I? Sigh!

I don't think the government are making the exportation of a thing an easy thing, in Nigeria importation is very easy compare to exportation... Take nairaland for instance .. There are many topics on importation, some people even have Chinese contact ( direct contact)
Now how many topics have you seen on importation?
Personally I know there are some goods I can't import but I don't know goods I can or can't export..
We have different logistics company for importation, how many logistics do we have for exportation NONE

While we are blaming the government let's not forget the individuals

The government has been making importation difficult since the early days but Nigerians have been importing. Why there are many topics on importation is because it's very easy like you stated; exportation is kinda difficult because of access to buyers, I think.

And yes, we have logistics company into export. I've been beta-testing exports since '14 and going alpha on it this month. There are other logistics companies too, running exports - I don't know if they are on Nairaland or not. If they are, they are few.

Can you do less than container load export to Europe. France precisely. I have buyers there.

I dont want air freight shipping tho.

Yeah according to my research, access to buyer and trust ( when it comes to payment) is the issue

You have said it all and every challenge create new opportunity for great thinkers with a mindset of taking risk not a book reader.
Well on Monday is a new day with great hope.
Bravo Sir.
BizBloke:

You that's talking say you'll start crying? grin grin We see your daily/weekly transactions so you're part of the solution to importers (you make RMB and USD available at a better rate than that of the black market).

Bdavis posted some solutions on the other thread; Onatisi has been posting solutions like local production, et al.

I'm not a guru but what I've been saying since '13 when I set up my company is that how we do international trade in this country is unfair and a trade imbalance; it's something that needs to be balanced aka export has to be more pronounced in action and not just small talks and dreams here and there.

It's economically right and I think it's morally right too to reverse-engineer the import process if we just don't want the money but wealth on an aggregate level. Yet, priorities differ so those who want to, will find a way to.

You made a very nice point there sir ... I made some tough calls these past weeks that made me realize there are some things that are easier said than done... If you want to elevate then you have to take some calculated risk

You can't just be reading and reading alone, have you theorized what you read?

True! I believe over time, these issues will go minimal or be phased out entirely. Once buyers are reached, I believe some sellers-cum-buyers can work with PayPal/Payoneer.

If Nairaland or any high-profile entrepreneur had escrow in place, the payment challenge will be easily resolved.

guys, I'm a bit new to this whole moneybookers stuff.

hmm I was just wondering why skrill is taking so much time(4 days now) to process my withdrawal($1,300) to my first bank savings account. And we're supposed to make use of this money beginning from Thursday this week.

is there a much more faster way to withdraw to a Nigerian bank account?

please someone should help as this is really really urgent, I've only sent just a little quota that is taking this long to process, I cannot begin to imagine the time it may take to process future withdrawals.

@ all those interested in export business. I have discovered that most times, assembling goods to fill 40 foot or 20 foot container constitutes a herculean challenge. This problem is usually solved in import business by combining several importers consignment into a container since they are heading to same destination.
To overcome this in export business, my humble opinion is that prospective exporters and export logistics agencies should consider using mini containers of 4 foot, 5 foot, 6 foot to 8 foot sizes in order to accommodate smaller portions of goods and simplify the scope of transaction for upcoming mini exporters.
The truth us that we easily undertake mini import and if the platform is available, we too can also veer to mini export. After all it is more lucrative and sensible to earn hard currencies at the moment. Let's brainstorm together, we can figure out a solution here.

That is the reason why I believe. Withdrawals are meant to be effected to your domiciliary account
