I agree with you if you were referring to those first set of itel phones. But i can assure you that itel mobile have seriously stepped up in their recent phones. This it1516Plus is a money saver really

This phone would have made sense if not for the crappy screen display resolution. Imagine 850*480 on 5 inch screen. Would it have killed them to put HD 1270*720 on it. They don't even understand/care about what customers want. They just release one crappy device after another.

What pained me most is that they advertised it an HD display phone before launch. I was among those patiently awaiting the launch for weeks only to be sorely disappointed.

I shared this same concern with an itel staff, her statement was that putting an HD screen would have increased the price by 7k, meaning the phone would have been selling for over 32k.

Honestly, my bro. I won't mind buying it for 7k extra. They should have made a pro version that is HD display alongside with the one that non-HD. Many Nigerians are price - conscious, yes. But a good amount of Nigerians know and appreciate quality and will pay for quality.

I fell in love with itel after buying their itel 1355, my very first itel purchase. I was thereafter looking for their mid-high end quality phone. But alas, I can't see any. They should plan not only for cheap products but also quality products.
