Of course yes, its a very capable device. If not that I consider 5 inch small, would have grabbed it long ago. For memory, would rather sacrifice 1 sim.

Any idea of how much Mi4 and Mi5 cost?

most of what you typed are just fears. I am not rooted but developer rom on miui are quite stable. As a matter of fact when u are on it you do not need root. Most of what i need root for are already installed. I use a MI4 n its been working great. I have never encountered a boot loop. I will advice you have a copy of the rom on your SD, that way you could easily flash it from recovery when ever you mess things up

ure right, am scared of stuffs like bricking, bootloop, that's y i ask questions before going on any flashing/updating adventure. I have never used a developer Rom

Thanks man for clarifying things.

Gptech:

I actually updated my rooted phone from miui 7 to miui 8 through the updater app. I only lost root privilege after the update. Since most of the apps I had bought while rooted still works even after losing root access, I see no reason to root for now. After switching to developer rom, I think custom roms( its a major reason for rooting) look useless to me for now.

Its true, sometimes miui Rom doesn't require rooting, it has many features that a stock android Rom lacks.

Well i still advice that a rooted xiaomi phone should not be updated via updater app. Using fastboot Rom and mi flash or recovery update is safer and better.

Are you ready for miui 9?

Miui rocks!

May I ask, why do you want to root? I know it's your phone and you can choose to do what you want with it.

Lol... you already answer your question already.
Anyway I have some apps very useful to me but you cant use them without rooting.
Hope I answer you?

Hmm, concerning mi4, if I really need that device, I could get the 64gig rom version for same price as redmi 3 pro, reason is because its on flash sale. Only con is the lack of 4g. If you don't care about 4g, you might consider it.

There's no better rom than the ones from European forum Xiaomi.eu

-better optimized
-no Chinese bloatwares
-google services preinstalled
-Easy to root,
Plus many other good things.

Please confirm if you can disable / uninstall Google bloatware. Also is your LTE working with this rom?
