really interesting read it's early days but i'm beginning to think this rohr signing was inspired. like his calm temperament and father figure disposition. only thing i disagreed with him in his interview is the return of enyeama. enyeama is our footballing legend and icon but his time in the super eagles has passed. assuming we qualify God willing for the world cup in russia are we going to say ikeme should make way for vincent? that won't be fair to carl and we all know enyeama is not coming back to quietly sit on the bench. this is a recipe for potential disagreements and team disharmony. rohr best stay away from all that. it's like he doesn't quite trust the home based goalkeepers but the goalkeeper trainer alloy agu should work to convince rohr of their ability. tbaba1234: 1 Like |

lexyman: U shouldn't expect Mikel to play DM in that formation. Onazi can do the needful, he's very mobile and workaholic, he just need to sit back. What I mean is that we need a formidable bench who can compete and be compared to the ones on the display, Isaac can sub off Ideye later, the goals would still come. Then it's fine.! |

*Sigh* We can't have more than 11 Players on the Field..... also we can't invite more 23 Players to the Camp! Presently, the Team is nearing perfection, Rohr is building a Team that plays his way, his style and philosophy. He knows the kind of Players that fit his Game-plan. He's working round the clock to fix the Team, to make Super Eagles a formidable Team in the World! So Because Etebo is banging Goals recently, he has become a Beast, hence must be given a chance to lead the Eagles line against the Algerians?! With all these suggestions here and there..... when are we going to have a starting Eleven for the Super Eagles?! When the Team is gonna have a shape?! The trio of Iwobi, Moses and Iheanacho should be given time to blend well together. They would always be available for the Team bar injury and suspension! Ighalo holdup play is fastatic, same as Ideye. The striking Position isn't all about scoring, also to terrorize and weaken the opponent's Defence and creating chances! We need Ighalo and Ideye in the Team for the likes of Iheanacho, S. Moses, Iwobi to be banging Goals. While Defenders are battling to stop Ighalo (or Ideye) from scoring, the Trio would be doing the damages to the Opponent. We are simply giving ourselves unnecessary headache with baseless arguments. Even NFF can't impose Players on Rohr led Coaching Crew talk less of Fans! We can be identifying Talents for the Super Eagles - which is a very good idea, but asking the Technical Adviser to play them by must is wrong! 2 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:I was only referring to Forgiveness alone sarcastically just to keep his brain busy because he creates arguments out of nothing the way Ozil creates chances out of nothing. Why would he say that Ajagun is better than all our Midfielders that includes Mikel(Chelsea),Iwobi(Arsena) ,Iheanacho(Man city 1 Like |

TheGoodJoe: Seem you do not understand my point on Etebo? I have no reason to oppose his imminent Call up, rather my point is; he's not a Striker! |

TheGoodJoe: Etebo won't be a bad addition to the Team. His versatility, skills, rare talent and pace are needed. He's definitely gonna be an upgrade to the Team! My point however is, he's not a Striker, he's a force to reckon with as a Winger or attacking Midfielder! Or did he bang the four Goals as a Striker for the U23 Team at the Olympic? |

Nigeria Target Akpoguma Sent Off In League Game As Rohr Get Set To Hit Germany Germany youth international defender Kelvin Akpoguma, who is reportedly high on the priority list of Nigeria in terms of players the football house wants to convince to switch allegiance to the senior team of Nigeria had an evening to forget in Germany. Akpoguma was sent off for two bookable offenses, committed within a space of ten minutes as Fortuna Dusseldorf ran out 3-1 winners away to 1860 Munich. His red card is coming at a time when the German handler of the Nigeria senior national team Gernot Rohr is set to arrive Germany, where he could hold talks with the stopper. However at the start of the year, he confessed his desire to progress through the ranks of the German national team, and he is confident he could make the team for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The 21 year old is on loan to Germany second division Fortuna Dusseldorf from top division side Hoffeinheim. The club he joined in 2013 after spending two years with Karlsruher. http://owngoalnigeria.com/2016/10/17/nigeria-target-akpoguma-sent-off-in-league-game-as-rohr-get-set-to-hit-germany/ |

We Struggled To Keep Isacc Success At Bay, On Loan Arsenal Defender Confesses Isaac Success On loan Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has praised the performance of Nigerian forward Isacc Success in Watford’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough in a Premier League clash decided in Sunday, Success picked up the man of the match award after the game in his first start for Watford since his big money move from Granada of Spain in the summer. It is difficult to quit Chelsea, insist Mikel Obi John Obi By Tomiwa Babalola The 29-year old midfielder says it's hard for him to leave the Blues, but feels that's the best thing for him at this point. John Obi Mikel has admitted that quitting Chelsea at this stage of his career would be difficult. The 29-year-old has been relegated since he returned from the Rio Olympic Games in Brazil, where he won bronze medal with the Nigeria U23 national team. Mikel revealed he had told the club about his imminent departure since his services are no longer needed at the Stamford Bridge. “It is difficult to leave Chelsea at this time,” Mikel told the Evening Standard. “But I explained to the club why I wanted to go and I thank them for their understanding and allowing me to be a part of this.” The former Lyn Oslo joined the Blues in 2006, and has won one Champions League title, an Europa League title, two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and a Community Shield in his ten-year stay at the club. http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/4110/nigerians-abroad/2016/10/17/28558292/it-is-difficult-to-quit-chelsea-insists-mikel-obi?ICID=HP_BN_4 1 Like |

Musa Rules Out CSKA Moscow Return; Cautions Nigerian Journalists To Stop Inventing News Ahmed Musa is not pleased with reports in the local media that suggested that he will return to former club CSKA Moscow in the event that his transfer to Leicester City does not work in his favour. Allnigeriasoccer.com subtly revealed earlier today that Musa’s return to the Russian capital is not feasible for the simple reason that CSKA Moscow cannot meet the asking price for the Super Eagles star. “I have not read this, but I’ve heard. Return? It is not true, they write crazy things about me,” Ahmed Musa told Russian newspaper Sport Express. “I do not get angry at the journalists, but sometimes they invent news. Now I’m totally focused on the job.” The 24-year-old Musa has played nine matches in total for the Foxes across all competitions, accumulating 359 minutes of game time in the process. You do not want Iheanacho to be benched, but you are seeing no problem if Ighalo, a substantial 9, is benched?! If Etebo is invited for the next Match, he's definitely gonna start from the Bench. And if at all he's gonna play, he will replace Iwobi or Iheanacho in the dying minutes of 2nd Half! |
