The Yorubas are educated and intelligent people but I honestly don't know why they fall for this cheap crap. Maybe they are not smart enough. Sad they will be slave for the next 3yrs. I hope they learn from their mistakes.

As a yoruba man, i regret voting buhari because i never expected this betrayal attitude towards Tinubu who laboured so hard for him to emerge president. Tinubu remains a jewel in yoruba land and even renegades like fayose and ffk acknowledge him as a leader of the yoruba nation. Tinubu did not sell us into political slavery, the north simply betrayed the SW and we will vote out buhari in 2019 for this hardship we are currently experiencing. We yoruba's are sorry for voting buhari.

o well buhari and d north has come to stay for atleast 12years. only a massive rebelion from d north can remove him from power. as it stands he will win in d 19 northern states and get a few states from d south. all those wastin dia energy believing dat tinubu can push GMB or d north out of power are dreamin. d north is partialy together while d south is divide. Pa okorunmu is on point

GMB is nt GEJ oooooo. d north is nt like d south, d north care more about power and nt delivery and for them GMB has already delivered by occupyin aso rock. tinubu trick is common knowledge his magic wont be effective come 2019. if it were a southerner dat was in power in dis hard times there wud been riots already bt d north which is feelin it more than other regions is quite because dia own is in power. tinubu already knows dat he is almost done politically. for me he sud 'runaway' ie quitely watch events before throwin his heart into d ring

I can't believe someone wrote this long article without doing a proper research, and to make matters worse people keep supporting his school of thought. Yoruba's are not in slavery. The finance minister is Yoruba, vice president is yoruba and so on, what else do you want?recession is not just in Yorubaland it is everywhere in Nigeria.lets focus on making Nigeria great instead of making unreasonable comments. PS : I'm not a fan tinubu but let's think before we act, nobody forced or deceived anybody.

grin grin grin grin On behalf of the people of the wise men from the East, the proud 5% who voted Buhari I am also regretful but our 5% was not enough to get us appointments but my major regret is that despite the fact that they said that looting is a thing of the past, despite recovered loot even, we are suffering 7 years worth of hardship in 17 months. All we hear are arrests, detentions, bail, trials and no economic recovery to deal with rising unemployment, rising interest rates and inflation.

My point is to tell you that when the white nan left Nigeria, they didn't see the yoruba fit to hold any substantial position in govt meanwhile Igbo men were both the premiere and chief of defense
The minister of defense was mallam ribadu, aisha buhari,s grandfather or which chief of defense are u talking about?the minister of health and justice were both yorubas.so what substantial post are u talking about.awolowo refused to be president under balewa, zik jumped at it and so what?U need to know that awo opposed the one nigeria ploy of the british more than zik and bello by requesting 4 secession clause in our constitution which zik refused.u see why the oyinbos could never leave the yorubas in power.

That's the reason the rest of the South should keep them at an arm length.... They are unstable and double-sided.
If they could betray their kinsmen then we should watch it.
Actually d yoruba ppl r unstable&lacked principle. They can channge at anytime, deny an event dat is true&lie. We r nt worried at all these bc that s hw God created them&dat forms there society. It jsut dat u v 2 blend wt dem n still keep dem at arms length. When they cry on ur behalf they r planning sometin.I dnt need anyone of my tribe or kinsmen 2 tell me or brainwash me into taking an action.Rochas&Ameachi v taken their decision which is binding on their families nt mine. And i will nt abuse them bc they v right 2 what they did.

I concur wt Okuroumu. He semm 2 wonder why an educated ppl will stup low 2 reject d fundamentals bc of dirty Nigerian politics. He finds it difficult 2 tell if his ppl d Yoruba really want d basic livelihood they enjoy in Europe,America&Australia.I v said it on dis social platform dat those who r shuotin corruptn r d children of d ppl dat destroyed d textile industries in Zamfara,Kaduna,Lagos&Aba.Who r d ppl dat destroyed our railway system, collapsed d Nigerian Airways,NEPA&NItEL?Custom,Judiciary, etc.Who r their children, brothers n sisters that enjoyed these corruption in their educatn n feeding? If u r among them God will judge u.

If we look at the last election, Yoruba people were misled. The masses voting for APC were crying ‘change’ all about and I warned them through media publications, saying that all of you in the South-West and in the North are crying ‘change’ but what change means to northerners is different from what it means to Yoruba. Yoruba people, who were crying ‘change’ wanted change for better economy, better opportunities and infrastructure not corruption.

To the northerners, ‘change’ means one thing: change of leadership to the North.

They believe that northerners have been kept out of power for too long and they want the power that is what change means to them. They got the change they wanted because after Buhari got there most of the appointments went to the North, whereas the Yoruba were left carrying bags.

Most Yorubas claimed that Jonathan marginalized them but they rejected the speakership position zoned to them.

But the same people that shouted marginalization under GEJ are now comfortable with it under Buhari, they don't care if Buhari fills all the positions from his village as far as they are none Igbo/ ND.

South East will never vote a buhari instead they would not vote at all. That is what principle is all about....I will not be wrong when I say Yorubas have no principle.

Akintola and the other yoruba leaders wanted an alliance with the north while awo wanted an alliance with zik only 4 zik to scorn awo 4 the north.awo felt one nigeria wouldnt work but zik opposed the secession clause and convinced the north to join him and together got the british to declare the clause illegal.we all know what happened six years later.

Baba's government is not a walkover but at least i'm liquid unlike those bowler locust and canker worm days, what i went through between 2013 - 2014 was a reality check for me, it is the reason i decided to make so much adjustments in my finance and business, i saw this recession coming and I'm happy it did not catch me unaware, come 2019 God willing i shall still be voting baba, NO SHAKING.
