I used to live in South Africa for 8 years and i could relate with Nigerians living in that country. Only 1% of Nigerians living in that country have a job (And i'm ready to dispute that with anyone that says otherwise). Few lecturers, Doctors, Engineers and just came across a friend of mine who started working for a municipality as a lawyer. The only way you could get a legal status is by getting married to a South African. I know many might wanna dispute this by saying what about Student and Work Permits (Self-employed). 75% of this student and work permits holders are either not going to the school they claim they are attending or registered companies they are not making any income from.

Throughout my stay in South Africa, most Nigerians in South Africa are either into internet scam (Yahoo), Drug dealing (AND LET ME SAY THIS, WHY DO SOMETHING YOU CAN'T BE PROUD OF TELLING YOUR CHILDREN/ OR PARENT YOU DOING) and other jobs and i must give this to my Nija people there. I knew many folks who were able to turn the situations of the country into something meaningful by creating their own businesses (hair-dressing Salon, buying and selling gold and jewelries or buying and selling accident cars).

My reason for going into this is because, South Africa is not a country for everyone. There economy is not that buoyant as they claim to the outside world as their unemployment rate is alarming. Illiteracy is much and they have this mind-set of SLAVERY as a country. They believe all Nigerians are fraudsters or Cocaine dealers. MY ADVISE TO MY NIJA BROTHERS AND SISTERS IS PLS IF YOU NOT DOING ANYTHING IN SOUTH AFRICA, COME BACK HOME...... I've been beaten before in a public transport just because i cant speak the language.... I pray may the Almighty God console the families of the dead and may their soul rest in peace
