princesuko: No need for all these comparisons as they are all Nigerians. So many FIFA free windows between November and August next year. Rohr can cap many of those Anglo-Nigerian players and select the best for the national team squad. 1 Like |

safarigirl:TheSuperNerd, come and do revision on the Topic ''Plastic Fan'' to Safarigirl once more. I thought you know so much about these plastic fans and their mode of argument already. Plastic fans don not argue with facts or stats,(but not Sir Forgiveness' ''Fact'' ) especially when they know those facts or stats are not in their favour. That particular guy may not even know Etebor exist They just wakeup to hate some certain players without any reason, just because it's in them to do so. Do you need any magician to tell you how relevant and hardly ''replaceable'' some players are to the national team Stop arguing with plastic fans else you go mad I was in a viewing hall some time last year. A guy known to watch most premier league matches argued that Dele Ali has no link with Nigeria. Dominic Solanke should be considered for the future. For now he is not needed. It is good I make this clarification before someone calls for my head 1 Like |

terzurum5: But Solanke belongs to the generation of Iwobi, Iheanacho,,Success, Simon, Ndidi, Etebo and the likes. Their future has come. Let us strive to get Solanke and add him to the pool. This will make the team more competitive. 1 Like |

Loooooolllllll........ Sir Terzurum oooo..... Looollll For Revision on "plastic fans", pls go back a few pages... Well, truth is.... I rate Solanke. I even have videos on him.... but let no one start sounding like he's the best thing bound to happen to us since "Yekini" in our attack. I want Solanke to be secured for us. WE NEED AS MANY QUALITY PLAYERS IN THIS NEW RISING GOLDEN GENERATION AS POSSIBLE. As much as we need a solid first XI going forward in the post-mikel era, we also need a super bench and quality pool of players we can bank on anytime.... And the likes of Dominic Solanke, Tammy Abraham, Dominic Iorfa Jnr, Ogo Obi, Kingsley Ehizibue, Tyrone Ebuehi, Tosin Adarabioyo, Moses Odubajo, Ashinme Kigbu, Ademola Lookman, Tosin Kehinde, Olufela Olomola, Dele-Bashiru, Viv-Solomon Otabor, and a couple of other foreign-borns should be considered seriously as time goes on.... On Solanke, I dropped Success' stats to show Solanke isn't even as prolific as THE BEAST in the no.9 role. I didn't even speak of Iheanacho at higher levels... Just wanted to focus on the U-17s where Nacho was mostly "bench material" sef. Competition is surely needed but it's obvious Solanke may be bench material in our new era with strikers like Osimhen, Sadiq Umar and even Success (when operating as a no.9- his natural position) rising strong. Note: Chuba Akpom is also on our radar too ooooo..... terzurum5: 1 Like |

After November 2016, we only have March and June fifa windows to utilise in 2017. Hence, we can only play a total of four friendlies with two for each fifa window. Icon4s: 1 Like |

Icon4s: Who do you drop for Solanke in the team? You forget we already have a pool of young players and we have important qualifiers ahead. We certainly do not have the luxury of unneccessary experimenting. There is plenty of time for Solanke to join in the future. Certainly not now. If we must integrate new players now they must be players who play positions such as the full back that we are in dire need of. Or they must be provenly far better than the options we have on ground for other positions other than the full backs 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: That for me is enough. The friendlies in march for "Wild" experiments and the one or two in June to map out strategies with the main squad. |

Icon4s: 1, Henry Nwosu was not dynamic like Mikel Obi. He was was a attacking midfielder from the rw. He was not the one that controlled the midfield. 2, In 1992, there was Friday Ekpo(the number 10) and Mutui Adepoju of Real Madrid. In 1994, he was not the main man. There was Mutui Adepoju and Austin Okocha. 3, I am not good at storing football informations on my head hence the need to source for legitimate informations though I have ideas of what I am talking about. |

forgiveness: 1.Henry Nwosu was a CMF/AMF. I am sure u know players were nt as dynamic as they are today. Eg LB and RB hardly overlaped. And pls who controlled the midfield if not Nwosu. 2. Friday Ekpo was at Senegal '92 but a sub to Oliha. Thompson Oliha was the main CMF before Okocha took over. He even benched Okocha at the 1994 AFCON and '94 WC. Did i see you mention Okocha for 1992? Was Adepoju a CMF? 3. There are so many information u cant find on the net. Several. It is only when u withness those events that u can have such info. 1 Like |

spot on! use the march friendlies to test new players and tactics (we shouldn't bother too many of our regulars as they would most probably be heading for the home stretch of the season with their clubs) then we add players who impressed in those friendlies to our main squad in june. we should target specific areas we know we are weak in to scout for players eg. right-back, left-back, prolific centre forward etc Icon4s: 1 Like |

henry nwosu was really promising but faded away after 88 AFCON 90-92 it was a combination of oliha, ekpo and adepoju. adepoju could play CM but westerhof primarily used him as a DM Icon4s: |

chrisooblog: Yeah, age caught up with Nwosu after Maroc '88. One questions whether he was really 17 @ Nigeria '80. Adepoju was more of an AMF, though he could play also as a CMF. Just like today severally AMFs then could be drafted as CMFs. But the main CMF under Westerhof before JJ Okocha was Thompson Oliha. Did Adepoju ever play as a DMF? |

I only missed the finals because of shitta touts who almost robbed me in front of Nigeria police after the semi finals. But I can't remember one thing except for the attempted robbery incident. So, does that makes me a novice? Bros, you watch those matches live? |
