Good evening guys, pls I urgently need to replace my ecu. After lots of consultation I got the correct ecm number that will match my car (quest 2004) all thanks to Costee.

The model of the ECU needed Are V1 MEC33-022 A1
XB MEC33-025 A1

If you have or know anyone that has any of this should pls mention my moniker.

What went wrong with the one you told me you got? Are you sure there are no other issues asides just looking for ECU?

Get a competent person to have that car checked for you. You can't have up to 10 ECU fixed and still be on the same page, that's my concern

Sorry to badge into your thread but I got an issue with my ECU.

I got a faulty ECU - actually all of the ECU is ok except for one actuator - all of the diagnostics point to a faulty ground within the problem actuator circuit in the ECU and my search for a Nigerian competent enough to fix it has failed.

I am trying to obtain information to assist me decide on how to go about obtaining an ECU to use in the meantime

Did you have to pay for a replacement ECU before or after they have confirmed that it works? and mated it to the immobilizer and the keys?

if yes, how much did you have to pay? to the guy that mated the ECU to the immobilizer and the keys or was that done by the seller gratis pending when it would be confirmed that everything worked together as expected

Am planning on shipping it to the States so the faulty actuator circuit can be fixed and then it will be returned to me so I can use it again - that will take between 2 weeks and 4 weeks

Am faced with these choices - import a brand new ECU (highly recommended route) and then send the bad one to the US to be fixed and returned to me OR send the bad one to the us to be fixed and returned to me while I get a local used ECU and mate it to the immobilizer and the keys (which has been said to be problematic since I could have to go through a lot of ECUs before I get one good one)

Says who? So long as you've not determined the 10 (or more) ECU to be the right specs you won't move away from the page.

I asked you to contact someone that will deliver the exact ECU for your car. Wonder why you are still buying "almost there" ECU's.

An ecu that will work for your car will be programmed with the VIN. But it MUST carry the exact part no.
