OP. I had a similar accident several years ago but my keloid was even more obvious because it was at the back of my right ear.

I got a doctor who operated on it somewhere around mazamaza in Lagos (can't remember the exact place though). After the operation I was advised to go and look for what Yoruba called 'Oori Ere' (Python's fat).

I got it from one of the local market women in a market around Agege and it worked like magic.

No more keloid and even the scars are gone, except for the top part of my earlobe that was chopped off in the accident.

You may give it a try hopefully it will work for you too. Those women that sell such things are everywhere in Nigeria, just find out the local name and ask them.

I have a nasty scar like a baby snake on my shoulder that I got from an aluminium cut. My mom once saw it and said she would give me Oori to apply there and that it would go. I waved off her offer. try using salt on it.wet the salt a little and put on the surface,if it falls off use rope or a tape to tie it.

It will drain the water inside.then the spot will shrink.

To treat bumbs and small keloid mix gentimycin injection and hot movate together.hot movate is 200 naira and the injection is 20 naira apply day and night.if u have someone who can help u to clean and apply dettol and spirit to the spots it will be very good.u can finally apply chorolfenicol if it has open wounds to hasten it's dryness.this I have shared with over 10 people and it has really helped.pls wen the spots have cleared pls don't stop . continue and continue to use the method daily. + Polish your head with anointing oil (olive oil)
+ Get married (that reduces the burden of being shy with the opposite sex)

I wanted to tell you to use injections to clear it. my son has similar problem but am still waiting for him to grow up small to inject him as some people told me. if there is any good cream you know please tell me let me use it on my son.

You have to consult a plastic surgeon in teaching hospital/Federal medical centre. The keloid would have to be excised(cut) again. But this time you have to keeping applying silicon cream for life on it, that reduces recurrence rate from 85% to about 20%. If your stop rubbing silicon cream on it, then it maybe reappear.

My point is, you are gud the way you are, you are expending too much energy on the minor.

You have a scar in your head, so what? It is not a disease, it is not a sickness, it is not even an abnormality, except maybe your body was over jealousy when trying to heal you when you sustained that injury and did some overtime work.

I can clearly see that, you have a bigger problem in your life and if not dealt with ruthlessly, it will bring you downfalls and failures.

As for the scar on your head, contrary to what anyone will tell you, am 100% certain that, it will follow you for the rest of your life; unless you become filthy rich, to afford the surgery where healthy skins will be removed from other part of your body and planted on your head, plus some hair growth treatment on it...

So please do not walk into a chemist shop and ask for a head shot of the drug. Please. Also do not have it cut without being sure what is it.
And it is administered inside the lesion . A doctor will also be able to do pain management while treating.

Keloids are common, are difficult to treat and chances of recurrence is very high. It will require excision and a minimum of 3 dose of postoperative steroid injection. Treatment must be supervised by a plastic surgeon.

The poster above me said it all....and medical supervision is needed with giving and stopping steroids. I administered kenalog for keloids not long ago....intra-lesionally. I dunno who it was more traumatic for, myself or the beautiful girl wanting to feel regular without the lesions. Her crying for pain made me weak.....she needed me to sedate and supervise her course too. She didnt know I was traumatised all through.
(I will read some pharmacology and histopathology tonight....catch up...treatment modalities may have changed also)

This often means best AVAILABLE currently which changes and very often means palliation or a little better than useless.If you read textbooks from the early 90s you will find a completely discredited explanation for gastric ulcers. Medical books are not bibles though sadly many doctors treat them like just that having trained under a "TRUE or FALSE" regime

There is little research evidence on keloids presumably because it affects black people more and there is no treatment with a satisfactory remission rate. Those that claim to have the highest rates are impracticable often and very costly.

Over a decade ago there used to be a centre in Ikeja on Olowu St to be precise. AB Bumps was d name. Try to find out if d place is still existing. Your problem will be solved there if u are still lucky to find d place.

I've successfully treated several keloids on my body and yes you too can. Please forget cutting your hair for a while cos it will keep hurting the keloid thereby making it to grow bigger. Get a matured aloe Vera plant (at least three years old cos the older the more potent) cut the aloe in small potions n apply the gel liberally on the keloid,allow the gel to dry (repeat every three hours). Get hydrocortisone cream from any nearby pharmacy n apply it over the aloe Vera morning n at night.you will observe that the keloid will stop being itchy after about one week of treatment. Do this till you noticed that the keloid is soft n flat . thank me later

Book ur ticket when u have emergency to.go clean ur wounds outside nigeria. ...i have had.incedencies of errors in the US which was thought to be pile but was discovered to be cancer here in Nigeria..the operation in the us was mis diagnosis. ...so leave that story. .lets use our good mouth to say good things about ourselves and our people.....

I beg you in the name of God, please don't listen to all these advice (cream or injections) . I had Similar problem (bump), and I did all that, rubbed strange creams, herbal and clinical, doctors in hospital suggested injections which I took at the back of My head for a while, none worked. In short they worsened the situation.
In my experience I can say Nigerian doctors know nothing about Bumps and keloids. I found the solution to my problem in AB BUMPS. They specialize in bumps and keloids. Their head clinic is in Lagos I think. But they have other branches across Nigeria. They even have one here in Accra, Ghana. I started my treatment in Nigeria and concluded it in Accra. You should try them out.

Your best bet is AB bumps. Don't waste money unnecessarily like I did.


Bumps and keloids are stubborn and should be attacked right. Experimenting different treatments is perilous
