Jessglam:kindly help me calculate this, I placed a bid on FBN at the banks determined rate a sum of 800k and got 28k... that's like 3.5% I feel something is wrong somewhere, can someone please enlighten me... it's 91 days... |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by LaconicINC: 9:33am On Oct 20, 2016 |

Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by LaconicINC: 9:34am On Oct 20, 2016 |
something is definitely wrong xerxes456: |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by gory24: 9:46am On Oct 20, 2016 |
xerxes456:..its actually correct..with that your interest,my best guess is FBN's stop rate for 91 days was 13.6%..Three months it's equivalent to 1/4 of a year,so (1/4 * 13.6%)=3.4%..3.4/100=0.034..0.034*800000=27200..Thats a rough calculation.. |

Your interest rate is 14% taking into account bank charges and fees and you still got 28K on 800K investment for 91 days. Smile Jesus loves you xerxes456: |
