Given your intentions. The Mexican visa will be much easier to get than the US visa. Meet her in Mexico get married, get a stay in Mexico, while she file for you to join her in the US. Give or take 5-6 years you will land in the US pronto!! Lol.

The truth remains that for as long as it is not illegal to open an account anywhere in the world, one can do so. Its freedom of choice. I can even decide to open a US account just to flaunt the ATM card, its my choice and perfectly legal.
They also benefit from it. Imagine one saving and leaving his money in a US account? That's the funds they trade with.
My only ish with with op is that his question ought to have been BEFORE he opened the account. Nigerians are in a habit of doing stuff without considering the legal ramifications then asking 'will I have any issues' later.

My advise. Paying the conference fee will not add any advantage to your visa application. So don't throw away you money. Work on your home ties instead. You can alway pay the conference fee when you get your visa.

And if they ask him ''how much did you pay for the conference'' what will he say? that he want to get the visa before paying right? Is that not dubious? although you can attend free conference or paid conference but there must be correspondence with the organizers showing your serious intention to attend the conference.

It's been a wealth of knowledge here. For me, telling the truth is key. If you get the visa, thank God. if you don't, life goes on. I have been denied ones last month. Though with my ties and other personal info, I was hopeful that I would get my visa approved, but it wasn't. Sincerely, after I was denied, somehow, I was just laughing and stayed happy and hopeful that I can try again and I will get it. I came out of the embassy and people who say the smile on my face was congratulating me thinking I got the visa. I was smiling because the interview was simple and straight. Though the vo might have had a reason why she denied me, but I knew I did great and my heart was really at peace that I did well in the interview. So now, I have reapplied and my interview in on Monday. I believe I'm getting my application approved this time and if it turns out negative, all glory to God believe me.

I'll share my success with the house on Monday. God bless us. Cheers!

I really can't say bro. The VO would obviously assess your application based on many indices. But I would advice you get a schengen visa and visit 2 countries in Europe. That would greatly boost your chances. Best wishes

As stated before
The visa officer is not interested in invite letter.
They want to see strong ties to prove return home after the visit,
and robust finances.

You are looking for a way to hoodwink the vos into getting a visa and getting married for status purposes.
To that end, you are willing to conduct a marriage with one who is already married. That is bigamy. And illegal. And will never fetch u a visa. Now I ask, how is this relevant in a visit visa thread?
You also want to go to mexico to try and get a visa from there. U have been advised to consider your ties. You were also adviced to go thru the proper route, I believe someone mentioned a k visa. Again, totally out of the scope of this thread.

Hello house,
I went for interview for B1/B2 on the 28th Sept. @ lagos consulate office. The woman that interviewed me told me my visa is approved & I should pick up my passport at isolo dhl office(circled on the white paper handled over to me) on Wednesday the following week. I tracked the passport on the US Consulate website on 5th Oct. & it shows passport still with US consulate. I later track it again last week & it shows no status update available for the passport number submitted & have not received any pick up email. Please advice me
