Qualifications Required:

Non Civil Servant: 2:2 Hons Degree or higher, obtained or expected before September 2017.
Civil-Servant: You are eligible to apply if you are a serving civil servant recruited through a process of fair and open competition. You do not need any qualifications to apply.
If you have not been recruited under a full fair and open competition then you can apply as an external applicant if you have a minimum 2:2 degree qualification.

i was filling these form and during the processes it was submitted successfuly and linked me to online test which i read the content of the test guide and discovered to get my self prepared before venturing into the full test and IMMIDIATELY i loged out and about to login couldnt get to the online text pls advice me on what to do because i need to write these exams abeg

It looks like part of the requirements need you to have the right to live and work in the UK for the period of employment. It is stated there. Basically, if you aren't a citizen of the UK or don't already have a visa which permits you to work in the UK for the whole length of the program, the application won't be considered. Though we are a commonwealth country but we don't have automatic entry into the UK, as we still need visa to enter.

Nationality and immigration

The HMRC Tax Specialist Programme is open to applicants who are:

European Economic Area (EEA) nationals, including British citizens
Commonwealth citizens
Swiss nationals
In some circumstances, Turkish nationals
To apply for the Tax Specialist Programme you must already have the right to live and work in the UK throughout the period of the scheme. If your right to live and work in the UK will expire before the end of the end of the 3 year training programme you will not be eligible to apply. HMRC does not offer sponsorship to enable employment in the UK.

Are you still on the process? i passed all the test and was given a conditional offer for another role. am currently working on the visa application and facing a little setback. anyone still on this?
