Are u sure the boy is not supposed to be in school at the time of travel? Did u get a letter from his school, how long where they supposed to stay and how much would it have cost you. With respect to your economic status.? Do you have sufficient accomodation where you stay. And is their a reason why you think the boy might not come back vis a vis family ties in nigeria after they left?

2. How can I know that my documents are complete and they don't require additional documents from me?
3. Then on the receipt I got from after doing biometrics, there's a 'Reference No' and there is a 'Tracking ID'. Which one will I use to track on VFS website.

Jayfirece kindly advise me. I just renewed my passport cos the previous one is expiring in Dec 2016. Is it necessary to notify IRCC about my passport renewal?
As at the time i submitted my application online, the passport validity was 7 month and Nigeria immigration service only renews for less than 6 months.

Yeah, but I guess he meant the visa obtained versus the amount spent. The UK offers 6months to 10 years but you spend more if you are want more.

The Canadian Visa gives value for money if you have sufficient passport validity and they have no issues with your application.

1. After you submit your application, VFS sends you an sms and a mail that it has been sent to CIC
2. Your applications are accepted from you at VFS when they are satisfied that all documents (necessary ones) are inside. Probably what you may be referring to are extra documents to back up your case, which they may not know, as they are not the embassy
3. Tracking ID.

But what's the chance of that making my application process longer because from what I've read about online applications on here of late, it takes so long and of course that is not new to you from experience. Visa issued by Accra IRCC. So it's confirmed that Accra has been the culprit all along. Looool.

Just send a courteous mail requesting to know the status of your application which has exceeded normal processing times. Provide your application or UCI number. You can later follow up with a case enquiry form if they don't respond to your mail.
