Dude, just go get urself a laptop and save urself the embarrassment. The keyboard alone is above 50k. A laptop with 2560x1440 display with wacom pen support and solid build will cost u nothing less than 500k.

I own a Surface Pro 3 (4/128) and yes, it can outperform a laptop. Not necessarily in terms of raw computing performance but in the following areas
- battery life: I can go up to 9 hours (average of 8 ) without my charger. Most laptops will not even see 4 hours. Mac Airs also last long.
- touchscreen: need to sketch something? need to present a concept to a client. SP is one the best devices to do so.
- backlit keyboard: once you ever use a backlit keyboard, there is no going back ever. EVER!
- display: with a 2k display, I have to work at a zoomed level of 125%. Can't go back to 1366x768. Never. God forbid!
- wow factor: get to client's place and pull out your SP. everyone wants to get something like that until you tell them the market price, then they realise they shouldn't price your work.

On my SP, I develop web applications and also manage my projects.

I only wish it had one more USB port, so I won't have to attach a USB hub.
