He has two invites from an organization and a church in another state in US, both in January 2017. Pls is it allowed or advisable to tender both invitation letters or he drops one....so as not to cause wahala during interview. Pls help, we be novice!

There daddy is a very busy politician and he wont be going with us for the interview. Although,i travelled with the boys last year december to dubai for my sons birthday. the issue i have now is that my passport still has my maiden name on it. What can I do?

Go to any good photography studio and request to take a passport photo for US visa. There are familiar with dimensions and appropriate facial appearances

Go to feedback section in your appointment website and write the embassy.. They will ask for a scanned copy of your international passport,copy of the payment receipt,your ds160 number etc and they will make the necessary correction.

First of all.. get a letter of consent from your husband,his international passport, a newspaper cutting for your change of name and marriage certificate. I believe you're good to go to the embassy.

Letter of invitation does not guarantee visa and they may not even ask to see it. The main koko is that are you coming back and what ties will make you come back to Nigeria.

Modified: I don't think anything is wrong in using your maiden name. You can go with a consent letter but I know the VO wnt even look at it. If you were denied before am sure not cos of your maiden name. There is no law against using one's maiden name but if you are not comfortable, do a change of name on your passport, any previous visa on it will remain valid.

Pls, just curious: what are the benefits of having birthdays for kids outside the country? Do they enjoy it most especially when their friends wnt be there?
Same situation is happening in my brother's house as I type. The wife was gisting me how her husband wnt allow her take the children to go celebrate birthday in London. I dunno how to console her. Loll

I wrote them thru feedback that I can't log on my profile because it was an agent that opened tge mail used. I gave them my email to send me temporal password. Now they responded that they have sent temporal password to the same email I told them I didn't open. So how do I get the temporal password. Since Friday I have been communicating thru mail with them. After this they better give me white paper cos processes are frustrating. Now I don't know what to do. I have paid and I can't book appointment. Who has advise plz I will appreciate.

I'm sorry and this is not to be rude or something. I read someone's transcript in this forum how he was denied because his company was going to sponsor his private trip.

I was also given a blue paper also, the window in the middle, the guy wuld be late 30's or early 40's .me: Good morning. V.O: good morning. Me:please I picked an earlier date in my intended date of travel..... and he shut me up and said av not even started the interview and I said ok. He typed on the computer... The vo didn't even ask any questions just where re u going and what do you do. Gave me a blue paper. Na wa oo for this V.O's. It's well .i think he was already tensed up, my advise it's better for you to pick an earlier time cause the V.O wuld be relaxd t

I guess bcs am not married and no travel history I was denied and also I believe the V.O was already tensed up b4 I went there

I bet that you were denied under 214b
Your ties to prove that you would return home were not strong enough to convince the visa officer.

This is my opinion @amanonymous . This isn't meant to rub salt in your injury but to guide you for the future. I never met you but you struck me as unprepared. You kept on asking questions that a lil preparation and research woulda answered you.
I think at a point I got a bit snappy at u because of some questions. Then clearly your form was improperly filled and that made the vo already pissed.
Presentation is key. Form filling is like 50 percent of the process. Me, if I'm evaluatiing data and I come across poorly filled forms I de vex. Now imagine a vo listening to plenty grammer all day.
Next time, take time and read this thread. Be prepared. Good luck

This is what you will do.... open another email and create another appointment profile... when you input all your data they will reject it saying another email address has been associated with your profile... when you're done with that please let me know.

Travel history very important and also been single also is always a problem. Believe me I did a whole lot of research before I came to this thread. Most times even with all filled ds160 and the ties everything still lies with the. V.O. Believe me I didn't see anybody given a white paper I was looking all thru. But it's well

About my intended date of travel I made a mistake, I picked an earlier date prior to my interview date. LagosNiv told me to xplain to the V.O which I tried doing.Lady G that was the only abnormality in my ds160 which isn't a big error compared to making a mistake with names. Lady G is well ooo.i really felt bad, have been there since 7:00
