Most of us will never believed in Nigeria that Police is Your Friend, and they lack intelligence, but as from yesterday Sunday 23 October 2016 I began to think otherwise.

On Saturday, 23 Oct 2016, at about 0830pm An unknown person enter my room while I see-off (escort a friend and a nairalander @wiggleP) that visit me upon return, I discovered that two laptops were missing/stolen in my room, one belong to me and the other my brother's.

I tried my best to see what I can do but fruitless. But my neighbours told me that some individual had came looking for me earlier while am not around, so they are the suspect of the case; one of them a fifteen years old being my runaway apprentice (Calls him O'boy), and the other a suppose customer.

The following day Sunday (Yesterday), I went straight to police station to report the case, and I wrote my statement, The IPO suggest if there are suspect in my compound so they can bring them from interrogation, but I insist that I dont like the idea, coz it can create enmity between me and my neighbours. But i told him who I suspect but name not disclosed.

On my way back home around 2:30pm, right inside the keke-napep I saw the suspected 15yrs O'boy, with another Policeman who happen to be a Church member. Note that O'boy's father is a policeman and had being transferred out of kaduna, so O'boy father and the my church member were colleague in the same Division, that is the reason why the boy might have being with him (and God is involve too)

I drop down from keke to grab the boy, but O'boy was not even scared, there it came to me that the boy was unaware that the person he brought to my house later came to steal laptops OR he may be pretending. I explained everything to the policeman and he promised to get back to me later.

About an hour later, he came to my house with O'boy, the boy having bruise on his knee (O'boy don chop beating). The Officer told me he questioned the lad and had retrieved some info, but did not wanted to disclosed it, Know that he was doing this investigation personnally. Last he promised to get back to me before nightfall.

Around 08:00PM, i was coming back from church, I was with a friend Adams (Organiser of #TheKeaAwards), we still discussing and i received a phone call from my house that my laptops had being brought back. I was like wow, A single policeman did that a alone. The laptops stolen from Kabala West, Kaduna, were recovered at Kudende, Kaduna, for those who knew how far the distance.

But what surprise me was that, the policeman is working all alone and only on the info he got from O'boy, yet the real thief was not found up till now.

The closing is that we still have some very intelligent Policeman out there not all of them are corrupt

Only 5% of Nigerian Policemen have integrity and credibility and can be trusted. The Nigerian Police is just a reflection of the country Nigeria.
