FMC, Owerri; One Woman Holding An Entire State To Ransom


With great bitterness and heaviness of heart I write this post. FMC Owerri has been the subject of power tussle for the past 18 months simply because of one woman; Dr.Mrs Angela Uwakwem and corruption. Here is a woman who has been on the helms of the hospital affairs for close to 11 years now. With 18 counts charge of corruption hanging on her head, she was meant to appear in court on 11th of October 2016, but it was adjourned till 15th November 2016. Suddenly, the Interim management committee were ordered to vacate the centre for her to take over. With intimidation and connivance with the commissioner of police; Taiwo Lakanu, she invaded the hospital premises with up to 400 mobile policeman on 19th of October 2016 (last week Wednesday) shooting teargas at workers. The aftermath of which claimed the lives of 7 newly born babies.

All these happening with the connivance of even the number one citizen of Imo state in the place of Rochas Okorocha. The question is, WHY ONE WOMAN AGAINST MILLIONS OF PEOPLE?? IS SHE THE ONLY MD IN NIGERIA CAPABLE OF HEADING FMC, OWERRI? WHY CANN'T WHAT HAPPENED IN EKITI STATE HAPPEN HERE (In Ekiti state their MD was changed after just a day protest even though his offences were not concretely established but here is a woman brimming with corruption she is still doing things with impunity).

Today, 25th October 2016, the organized national body of JOHESU/TUC labour unions are on "Operation Occupy FMC, Owerri. Comrades from South West, South South and South are marching in protest. Rochas and Angela have hired thugs coupled with the policemen they have on ground, not caring for patients' welfare. SO ALL YOU PEOPLE OF GOODWILL SHOULD WATCH THIS PAGE FOR MORE UPDATES AND LET'S ALL BETTER WAKE UP TO FIGHT THIS CORRUPTION STARING AT US IN THE FACE FOR THE SAKE OF POSTERITY!

Na wa for Imo state and their elder statesmen, that's if there's any. I have a cousin that left that hospital a couple of months ago. She said the so called Angela Uwakwem is diabolical and the occultic politicians who put her there don't want her to leave cos of what she does for them.

I used to doubt it but the day I paid her a visit and saw some sheep wandering in the hospital I remembered a story I heard some years back on how she has zombiefied the staff. There was one ward in that hospital that had a bed on which if a person lies there, he /she must die. How comes a whole CMD plants flowers in the hospital? She has a plan if you ask me..

This sounds funny but they are mysteriously true. Their staff die anyhow coupled with the fact that it is the most expensive yet number one Federal Medical Centre in Nigeria. The day I learnt that patients' card sells for N1000 I almost wept.


They say whenever a child is crying and pointing a finger, if the mother is not there, the father is there. No smoke without fire, so the Federal Government should do something to save the state.

Okorocha should leave Abuja politics and attend to his state corruption allegation issue. This our politicians believes we are all fools anyways every day for the thief and one day will be for the owner!!! We are watching in 3D!!!

Dr. Uwakwem cannot afford to hold FMC Owerri to ransom.

Owerri people like to "appoint"anybody to any position in Imo state. Uwakwem is not appointee for Owerri people.

Owerri people like to have everything in Imo state.

Too many Owerri people love writing petition to whoever.

Five universities and polythechnics in Imo state are wrongly located in Owerri during the years of military dictatorship. Democracy came, Owerri petitions to even the gods each time any state governor tried to relocate one of the tertiary institutions outside Owerri.

FMC Owerri is another victim of these attributes of people in the capital of Imo state.
