I expected a lot more from these guys...EPS dropped from 201k to 198k (effect of dilution from their last Rights)

But what must have caused the net FOREX loss of N53B when others are declaring net gains??

Please I need some Advice

I am trying to buy stocks long term for my baby
which company shares do you reckon i could buy

Thanks

You're buying stocks for your baby and you're asking for recommendation.
I'm sorry, that's not what this place is for.
Your stockbroker will handle that fine, and enrol your baby for Guiness, NB, FBNH etc.
Most stocks are good in the prolonged long term.
This place, to me, is for for get-rich-quick stock trading.
If you like call efcc, I will handle them. grin

Exactly my point!
U wouldn't see your bid or sell order in the respective bid or sell window until 10 or more mins after u click submit! And if it does not appear on the bid window, it annot be executed! This is my problem with lead trader. With this kind of system you just stay and watch, while others with instant execution platform get their orders filled in and executed fast!

From my experience, if you place a buy limit order on stock, it won't be executed until he stock gets to your limit price.

e.g if Oando currently trading for N5, and you place your buy limit order @N4.80, your orders won't be implemented until the gets to N4.80.

Do you know if the money is up to #40,000? .

Bros, there are some places you have an acre for =N=50,000.00 to =N=70,000.00, that is 6 plots. A plot will surely go for prices below that =N=40,000.00...

Guys beware of the advice you get from all these investment sites/blogs. Most of them are as 'ignorant' as we are. I'm just weeping right now at gains I missed having sold my little dollars for N446 following an advice I took from a report on Nairametrics.com that the naira gain would be the longest in recent times. The naira gain did not even last and it now sells for N465 per dollarjus few days after I sold atN446..

TOooooooootaal... grin grin...I am loving it! At times I laugh when I see some people here wasting their time, money and effort on bank and worthless insurance stocks when quality ones are staring at them in their faces...you guys should grow up and channel your strength to valuable and real stocks like this....In short, leave ponmo chop meat..... grin cool

Exactly!!!...it's not a rocket science to pick good stocks. The problem is that good stocks are sometimes too quiet to be loved. They're usually neglected by market participants.

Diamond and Access bank results came out as we had earlier expected though Access was able to recover it's form quite well with increased interest, Fee & Commission and Financial assets trading income? Access is reporting almost N100B income from futures and swaps shocked shocked shocked

Also I noticed FBNH and Access are reporting astronomical increases in their Fee and Commission income from e-channels. Access claims card transactions increased considerably which i find quite odd...

At this point I'm wondering what's keeping FCMB if it has a good result.

Fcmb is set to overtake diamond bank in both price and income.........Fcmb is listed as a group and one of it's subsidiaries......fcmb capital market which performed well in the last quarters is set to boost both their top and bottom line. Before the end of November, their will be bull market and the result will appear to put smile in shareholders faces.......people are very busy mopping the stock at any price they see it these days.

Diamond result is an unmitigated disaster.
The men are saperating from the boys,
and morgan problem has handicapped us from reacting accordingly.

The FCMB results the Board saw was too good to be true that the Board immediately had to ask the Auditors to come and audit it before it is released to the public... grin cheesy

I've always had FCMB on my radar because of their willingness to pay good dividend (i was impressed this year) and their high net fx asset which is supposed to mitigate any loan impairment disaster, but this one wey una dey talk so dey surprise me o...Are you saying I should go and find money any which way and invest there abi na monkey una dey hunt? grin grin grin

@Loco I did't see any FCMB subsidiary in their Q2 report o, or is it a foreign investment?

Have u used Itrade platform b4?
I don't think u have, cos u would have understood where I am coming from!
I am not talking of when your order gets executed. What I am talking about is the time it takes for it to appear in the bid or ask window of the platform, immediately after clicking the submit button! Because it has to appear in the bid window first b4 u start waiting for the market to get to ur price.
That of itrade appears instantly, immediately after clicking submit!
