Nestle reports Q3 Loss

If this post is not a hoax then let the feasting of bears begin...though initial resistance is expected but won't last...Yours truly will be on alert to buy good number of units when the free fall begins...

I see all these blue chip coys reporting losses and their prices snowballing as a blessing in disguise for discerning investors...This is because upon recovery and return to profitability the cap appreciation will be massive. For instance, stocks in this category are Lafarge, Guinness, Seplat, amongst others.

This is the secret of wealthy investors...Think Apple!... wink

At times I laugh when I see some people here wasting their time, money and effort on bank and worthless insurance stocks when quality ones are staring at them in their faces...you guys should grow up and channel your strength to valuable and real stocks like this....In short, leave ponmo chop meat..... grin cool

You also remember that when everyone rushed to the good stock, price will be driven up and it will become overvalued and that too is not good investment.

Revenue marginally grew by 20% but was not adequate to contain the upsurge in financing and operating costs. A major slide in profit emanates from the impact of forex loss on loans and unfavourable business environment.

The coy should begin tolook inwards and see how they can support farmers to boost local production capacity to mitigate the exchange risk impact arising from importation of raw materials...

Also, renegotiation of its matured loan obligations due to related party and lenders is required. Consideration of a loan redenomination strategy with lenders should be looked into. As current practice of financial mix match in this current economic doldrums will only further compound its woes.

Cost reduction is another value maximization strategy the coy must embrace. With already a bogus cost structure, management must muster the courage to shave off overheads by a good percentage to return back to profitability and step up efficiency.

Very poor result.

A quality stock is never overvalued, it only responds to law of market mechanism- I.e law of dd and supply. More often than not, for such stocks supply is always limited.

Exactly!!!...it's not a rocket science to pick good stocks. The problem is that good stocks are sometimes too quiet to be loved. They're usually neglected by market participants.

on point sir

Thank you

The FMCG sector has really been dealt a bad blow by this FX issue, even Dangflour that had returned to profitability may slide back into loss if care is not taken. Sad.

But make their prices fall sha... The universe must re-align forces for our good...hehehe...

Have u used Itrade platform b4?
I don't think u have, cos u would have understood where I am coming from!
I am not talking of when your order gets executed. What I am talking about is the time it takes for it to appear in the bid or ask window of the platform, immediately after clicking the submit button! Because it has to appear in the bid window first b4 u start waiting for the market to get to ur price.
That of itrade appears instantly, immediately after clicking submit!

I fully understand where you're coming from.

I have friends using itrade platforms, and we usually compares the different platforms.

But note the NSE platform is the alpha platform where other platforms try to replicate for their trades.

In reality the buy limits orders information you are seeing on itrade platform might not be on NSE platform, most orders(due to limits) not due for execution don't don't appear on NSE platform.

This is because itrade platform and leadtrader in house platforms, and only trades due for execution will hit NSE X.GEN platform.

Below is the list of companies using NSE fix trading system

http://www.nse.com.ng/tradesmart

While Morgan has been removed from the system.

Good morning house.

Please, does anyone do equities with molten trust limited? I am trying to help a friend take stock of stocks bought through them since 2005/2007....... Hope they are still active though?

Next, how do I go about transferring socks managed by them to a different platform?

Is investment one a good coy to trade with?

I'd appreciate your advice as always.

Gracias!.

This is the funniest and craziest result have ever seen in my years of experience in the market. How can a company use its entire revenue to pay G&A expenses to the extent that nothing is left.. something is very fishy here...I hope someone is not diverting funds meant for the company to his or her pocket.

My advice is this, if you are in this bus for long term you are sitting on a time bomb and ready to loose your money because it's a matter of time before the undertakers come for it. As such, stocks like this are best ignored but if you must deal, let it be short term.

I hereby declare this stock as a JIJO stock.

Honestly, in a sane clime some of the listed companies management with questionable results would have been behind the bars by now....shioor.
