Hello beautiful people, I'm here again.

I intend to get a help that will come twice a week to clean and do some washing.

My partner is fully in support but he is worried about the security of the home.

Please, we are both in a strange land with no family and we can't speak their native language.

How do I go about this?

I feel for people who brings there challenges to nairaland to seek for advice.

Immediately you said you partner was excited when he saw the baby inside you they were all angry and disappointed, all they ever want is division and scatter .....evil people

Back to your topic

I think you should ask your local pastor if you attend a church already to make a recommendation

Mimzy referred to it and you had fun laughing it off with her.

I really don't care if you stick my past to my forehead like a badge. I'm just disappointed.

Be sensitive...

In everything, be wise. The pastor is not infallible and can make mistakes like anybody, especially if he is not sensitive to the Holy Spirit.

If you have relative or something, you can invite them.

It's just you two in the house so what do you need a help for?

I seriously don't have any relative that can come over and besides I don't want a live in person.

He helps out but I'm sort of a neat freak.

My strength is not enough anymore and work is demanding right now.

And He really believes we will need someone when the baby comes and when I'm really really heavy.
Re: Maaamaa's Wahala by cococandy(f): 8:40pm On Oct 29, 2016
Maybe he can help out some more. Remember you still have to pay the person and from your last post, you guys are still finding your feet financially. You need to save for When the baby comes. Babies are expensive

I'm not saying I'm in your pockets. Just giving advice based on info you gave before. If you try to make as little mess as possible and convince him to do more around the house, the possible 20k (using minimum wage rate) that you'll pay the housekeeper can go into your savings.

Op follow your heart...
Stick with your partner and build your home
Am glad he's now in support.

About house help? Why not have a help that will come in the morning clean up, wash clothes, do whatever then she leaves by noon at least 4 times a week. She must not stay with both of u. She comes and goes.
That's how I see it.

Op, is this a joke? I think you are a troll based on your posting history. Or do you and your husband need a common sense and maturity evaluation before marriage? I am quite surprised how someone that cannot make little decisions by themselves, can decide to open their legs and get married. So crazy. NL will help you run your home and decide what pant your husband will wear tomorrow.

Really? I'm actually not surprised. The amount of vile and anger in nairaland is shocking.

What exactly have I done to you to deserve this abuse? What the hell. You opened this out of your free will, read it without bring forced and then you decide to insult me.

Yes, I have no idea on how to run a home and I'm not ashamed to say it. I'm learning and if I'm stuck somewhere I'll ask questions.

I wish you well in life.

Bia.. my friend...you really are a small girl oo. How old did you say u were again? You need to grow up pls dear. So that your man and others can take you serious. How can you open a thread solely to find a house help?! This is serious...
Are there no agencies you can contact in Uyo? Can't your mum or ppl around you recommend one? Couldn't you have asked on preggy thread as their member? Dont let ppl think your man had a valid reason to stall ur marriage. Pls be careful of how u do things. You are now an expectant mother and soon to be wife (according to u).
Think and act mature, dear.

On another note , I feel you like attention. Take it easy o.

Heeey, the animosity is getting too much nau. She sought for advice and we all offered. I don't think she's bound to take it. If she decides to be foolish, it's her choice not ours. I don't get why people are getting so upset.

I don't think so.

Didn't she mention on the thread how the man is marrying her out of pity?

she gave a detailed history of her relationship with the hubby to be, and Nairalanders advised her based on that.

she's on her own as ishi.love said. She's just 23. eventually the love will clear from her eyes.

I wish her all the best.

You must be new on Nairaland then. Don't take everything you read or some things ppl here say against you serious. Oya sorry dear. Didn't mean to sound mean u hear. My apologies. Nairaland is like a family. You have some brothers and sisters that will tell you things the way it is. U may vex but later u make up again and continue being siblings. Take care. Hope you are resting well oo. It's not easy to be carrying life. *hugs

maaamaaa,

Firstly, why were you replying PMs from so many people and even passing out your number? You're supposed to go through the profile of the sender of every request for PMs you get and then decide whether or not you wish to continue speaking to them. And passing out your number so easily? You have to start making better choices and thinking on your feet, what if someone had come sounding helpful, befriended you and then kidnapped your baby when born?

The facebook poster who insulted you, was it male or female? Try and think back and really, do yourself a favour: unfriend anyone that you may have added recently that you don't know in person.

Lastly, I mentioned here earlier that I needed you to get off this section and move to Health section. The mods made a mistake moving that thread to the frontpage because it attracted a lot of the stvpid people to it. You are on the Pregnancy thread, people make safe friends there through shared experiences, you ought to have gone there since (there are expecting mums in Uyo). All the info you need for preparing for this child is on that thread. So if you wish to start looking ahead, that is where you ought to be and not here
