Nice job @organicfoods have been following u from the first day u created this thread. going organic is easy but stressed despite saving huge money. from my understanding your organic project is just to conquer vaccine and durugs administered to chicks. But in the aspect of feed. i believe you've not. due to lysine, methionine and other additives in the feed which also aid their growth. Again you over fed them. a broiler chick consumes 67g per day. but after two weeks its 125g then 130g till u sale at table size.THough some people feed for 24hrs due to market. But i commend u for good works. I look forward to adopt your drug method for upscale in easter.you amazed me with that 1112g 5 Likes 1 Share |

@Munzy14 A chicken cannot use all the nutrients in its feed. Most of the nutrients are excreted. The job of the lacto bacillus is to pre digest the feed thereby making the broilers to assimilate it easily thereby the excessive weight gain. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Munzy14: Sir permit me to use your numbers. If each bird is expected to consume 67g daily×14days ×49chicks =45962g Then 125g daily ×16days×49chicks = 98000g Total expected in 30days =143962g or 143.9kg Bag of feed being 25kg each that's 5.75 bags Organicfoods said he has used 4bags as against your proposed 5.75bags. Is this an underfed or overfed? Please kindly enlighten us students. Thanks 7 Likes |

I am about exploring the use of dry moringa leaf as an addition to chick feed to replace antibiotics use in poultry. Chick fed on moringa leaf extract in the following ratio gives chicks the power of antibiotics boost in the system. 150g weight of dry moringa powder to 25kg feed or 30g to 5kg feed or 6g to 1kg feed It's known to increase the red blood count of poultry and other weight gain. 8 Likes |

Isonguyo1:This is my approach. For every 3kg of feeds, I add 500g of molasses plus two table spoon of lacto bacillus. I add enough water to cover it. Allow to stay for at least four days... I continued to harvest small quantity every other day and add fresh feeds and water plus lacto bacillus forthnightly without exhausting the broth. What I normally do is to harvest some of it and mix very well with dry feed and give to them.. . It smells so refreshing 12 Likes 1 Share |
