Solange06:This statement tho, I think is contradictory. You can't eat your cake and have it, don't pretend as if u don't know the truth. If you don't care about mimiko (probably because he is not a good man, owing salaries and embessling pub funds), why do u think he is desperate to impose his fav successor? Read this in case you did not know THEY ALWAYS HAVE DEAL OF ASS COVERAGE AND CONTINUOUS LEGACY! even if one of them seems to have a good heart. Am just thinking of a situation where a whole state will agree and go to beg just one candidate to become a govermor instead of them needing to lobby for the position desperately. 2 Likes |

Mimko mobilized five ppl each from the 203 wards to the state capital on saturday for the protest and ended up given each #500. For those that know akure very well these folk walked down frm the party secretariat to Oba's palace ( abt 5km) under the burning sun. End has come to his reign in the state. An Elderly man said ' from his height of popularity, there will his humiliation start from'. If he likes he should support and pitch his tent with Apc, Am sure by the grace of God Olusola Oke of AD will win this election. Vote Olusola oke, vote AD. 3 Likes |

Solange06: Please no offence meant but I'm just not sure if the statement quoted above is true. Not until Jegede started contesting, I wonder how much people know about him in Ondo state apart from being the attorney general. (I personally met him for the first and only time in 2013 at a wedding reception which he was the chairman and the few comments from few guys who knew him was that he's a stingy man, which was obvious to anyone on that day). Now saying that he's the friend of the masses, I find it difficult to accept. Personally, I'll rather vote for him than Jimoh Ibrahim, '419' as you most rightly called him. However, I just think it's high time we stopped supporting political candidates out of sentiments .i.e. political party, tribe or religion. For instance, I know many people who are supporting Jegede being an indigene of Akure (because no Akure indigene had ever ruled the state democratically despite being the state capital). Most of my old school colleagues are supporting him based on the fact that he's an old student of Aquinas College, so funny!.... As usual, We'll just vote based on sentiment and after 1 or 2 years we start ranting and wailing. Anyway, I don't even see who among them is the messiah to liberate the state from it's present woes, they're all thieves and I don't think anyone should feel too sad for Jegede's removal. The handwriting is on the wall; he was brought by Mimiko to cover/ clean up his mess but God has said No! 6 Likes |

Why are you pdp people like this? Is it not clear that what sahara posted is more than the truth? Firstly, was september allocation not shared last week and why has mimiko not paid salaries? Secondly, what gave mimiko the courage to remind buhari of the 1983 ondo saga if he's not the sponsor of the failed protests? Why are jegede and mimiko's children or family members not also protesting? How come a state high court countered a federal ruling if. Mimiko is not at work? Have you wailers not read about a post by deji that clearly shows that the mimiko backed state pdp is illega and that backed by jimoh is authentic and a court ruled in its favour in june and mimiko faction never appealed before 90 days? Why is the protests only happening at akure and ondo town where mimiko and jegede are from? 7 Likes |

Though the whole report was like he said, they said and all those hearsay kind of things but I loved this part "One source said the governor reminded President Buhari that the crisis that led to his military coup in 1983 started from Ondo State, to which the President laughed and politely reminded the governor that he was the one who took care of the mess." in order words try me and I will clear your doubts!!! I am not from Ondo state but i have once been in ondo state for years Ondo town to be precise, I know Mimiko very well, I pray in the same Mosque with his mom then in Eso Area of Ondo town, I know his Hospital very close to Akure Garage, One of his brother was a friend of mine then. Mimiko has been the problem of Ondo State, He has been the problem of Ondo state from the 2nd republic. He betray Ajasin, Adefarati, Agagu and now trying to cause another chaos in ondo state forgetting that it's a new era and PDP is not in Power anymore. |

senatordave1: Responding, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, who appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene the crises arising from substitution of Eyitayo Jegede with Jimoh Ibrahim ,urged INEC to correct any mistake they might have made. The monarch said,” we don’t want anything to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of this state. In 1983, we lost some of our sons and daughters, we don’t want anything of such again. “The judiciary should also intervene and make sure that all parties get justice because we don’t want any injustice in Ondo State. The President should make sure that whatever needed to be done be done on this matter. Nobody can be governor through the back door. “ |
