Nigeria May Be Going Through Tough Times, But She Is In Safe Hands"-Kemi Adeosun"-Minister Of Finance Kemi Adeosun As She Advises On Best Money Spending Practices

The Honourable Minister of finance Mrs Kemi Adeosun has assured Nigerians that despite the tough economic situation of the country, Nigeria is in safe hands.

This is even as she shared her best money spending practices, as well as encourage women to inculcate the habit of saving.

She said this during First Bank of Nigeria's Firstgem Launch in Lagos on Friday where the wife of the Vice President Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo was present. Firstgem is a product is specifically created to empower women to create wealth by encouraging targeted savings.

Speaking at the launch, Mrs Adeosun emphasized the importance of women in the Nigerian economy, noting that 75% of SME's in Nigeria are still owned by women.

She said now is the time for women to arise and do things for themselves, learn to save and put money aside.

She also said that her administration was working hard to empower women and ensure that more women are given contracts and other jobs to execute.

She rounded off by giving her best money spending formula as seen below:

40% Needs
30% Wants
20% Savings
10% Tithe &co

Wives of numerous state Governors, Chairman board of directors First bank Mrs Ibikun Awosika and other important dignitaries were also present at the launch.
