Ddoy2003: What most people like you that are traveling with their kids and without help do here is that they choose a popular city and a popular accommodation (eg Houston /Elpaso) where there would happen to be other 9ja mamas staying at that same time, some would have had their babies, while others will be waiting,so you can help yourselves I.e. they can look after your baby when you go into labour and vice versa. 11 Likes 1 Share |

Ddoy2003: $17,000 and $30,000! Would they give the parents automatic citizenship?! My advise- Prepare a comprehensive budget sheet with one or two locations. That would give you a fair idea of what the cost would be. NB: If your money is long enough, u can get a nanny for your daughter. Nannies in Houston cost between $10-$15 per hour, that i know. 3 Likes |

Hellodear, It's 23kg check in baggage, carry on diaper bag. Beware they are very strict with carryon baggage allowance of 7kg for adults (they showed me pepper. Be prepared to carry your baby in your hands in Dubai for the long trek to the gates as they won't give you your baby stroller in Dubai and babies are too young for that airport stroller (I wish someone told me this as I would have bought baby carrier, imagine struggling with diaper bag, hand luggage and baby in my hands). ifyadajesus: 2 Likes |

Zocken: Your best bet- Find out if the hospital accepts bank transfers, open a domiciiliary account and wire the funds directly to them. They should get it in 48hrs max. Third party/virtual arrangement is risky cos people can be funny when it comes to money matters. Very few banks do moneygram and it is limited to less than $1k or so per quarter and subject to availability so that one too is long tin. 1 Like |

ifyadajesus: Check it in directly to your final destination. You won't need it. What you need is a baby carrier. They'll allow you check in stroller, car seat and base for free....not included in your baby's luggage allowance 1 Like |

No, just the 23 kg checked in bag and 1 diaper bag. The car seat base will be checked in with car seat and stroller for free, they will be wrapped in nylon so it won't get lost in transit. ifyadajesus: |

Contrary to reports here about doctores not accepting international patients, they still are. (we are using them). Also took their doctor's correspondence to the visa interview and there was no issue, thou we had prepaid all medical bills. 1 Like |
