No? Cos you can only change your course in some instances, mainly:
1. Engineering(below 2.0 CGPA) to Education
2. Medicine(below Pass Grade) to Science related Course. Otherwise Medical related course (Anatomy, Physiology with Good Grade) to Medicine
3. If during Admission Clearance you were "Moved".

There are two kinds of clearance :
1) On-line clearance (the one u receive a notification on your portal that 'u have been cleared to study.....proceed to the department of.....for final clearance').
2) Physical clearance (the final clearance where u have to go to your department in person usually with 2 copies of the following) :
a) birth certificate (1 original, 1 photocopy)
b) O' level result (1 original, 1 photocopy)
c) jamb result slip - the one with your picture and each subject score on it (1 original, 1 photocopy)
d) indigene certificate (1 original, 1 photocopy)
e) 2 passport photographs.
In the end, whoever clears u will keep the photocopies of your documents and allow to take with u the originals.

Any ijmb direct entry or history and international studies student here i've not been cleared, i dont know whats going on.

Actually, freshers are going for final screening in their departments......am just curious as to if it means they won't do their screening at semi final year.....cos the screening is too much.

It just might depending on who clears u. If it's a woman well, u can always explain yourself and she'll readily listen. But if it's a man just pray he's having a good day.
If what u mean by "temporary" is the result slip in black and white, then I see no reason why it shouldn't be accepted.
