The second ship is different from the first one. F91 is clearly visible on the second ship's deck.

Congratulations to the US Air Force, the A-10 Warthog is staying indefinitely. Along with the SU-25, the A-10 is the world's most iconic CAS aircraft.

Aren't you congratulating the wrong service arm? The Air Force was the culprit in wanting to junk the Warthog.

Early version of the Rooivalk... Honestly, I like it better than the current. Just wonder why it never went to production in this physical appearance.

How many Beechcraft and ATR/

2 x ATR-42

3 x Beechcraft® King Air® 350i

1 x DA42 MPP GUARDIAN

If we mount FLIR pods on our 3 x Dauphin and 3 x EC135 we can easily jack up the numbers to 12 x manned surveillance aircrafts.

Talking surveillance, if we go ahead with the Airbus C295W, maybe get 6 units, 2 could be converted to a mix surveillance and troop transport, while 4 units are used as proper medium transport aircraft, complimenting the G-222.

NAF doesn't need an AWACS?

If there is a requirement for an AWACS, i'm sure the Air Force would get one, however i don't see a requirement for an AWACS at this point.

In theory, the ATR-42 could be used in that role, through the use of a Data Link they can share data with NAF JF-17s.

I doubt any Sub-Saharan air force needs AWACS.

@Activatekruger Alright. The ATR42 won't be able to perform AWACS but can share data with the JF17. I don't think they carry airborne search radar.
About the missile fired at saudi, can someone explain how such weapon got to those terrorist control and how capable are west African countries when such is being launched at any of them?

That's why i said in theory, it carries a powerful multi-mode radar.

As roads become motor able. ...bh rested....forget what's on the news, our troops are restricted by bad roads to target bh. .....airstrike wasn't consistent enough to do enough damage....rainfall would have brought about food growing naturally for bh .......do basically welcome to round 3.... tough battle's are waiting ahead....but we will overcome

•Egypt
• Algeria
• Tunisia
• South Africa

Having an AEW&C will boost airbourne operational command and control.

Nigeria also needs a multiple platforms mounting a Synthetic Aperture Radar for ground surveillance.
