Please house, I only got one auto message stated below, I hope something is not wrong?

Dear EDWARd,Visa application,Tracking Id No. 20 – has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office , Lagos on 04/10/2016. An auto e-mail will be generated to inform you when the application is returned and is available for collection at the application Centre. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email.

Folaroyal:

This is from the VFS office where you submitted your application... stating that they have accepted/received your processed application from the embassy.
1. Is it a study permit application?
2. Did you do medicals and when?
Regards

Woh... May 2017 ??.... dats way too long enough to have gotten a response for a visiting TRV nawww...
I think the processing time is between 6-8 weeks....

For reference: a friend in Canny applied for his mum around June.... got delayed in August (TRAVEL HISTORY)... i remember helping to draft a strong LoE and refired same week of August... she was issued 5yrs TRV early October.

In my opinion; you should push a mail urgently to the Case Specific Enquiry!!!

Below is the case specific enquiry link;

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.241344459.873947521.1399486767

May 2016 not 2017...Thk you 'll do as you suggested and get back to you ASAP....

Please i need your comments. My admission was deferred till fall 2017 because my application was refused. Is it advisable to send another application in November for a program that is scheduled for August 2017, My friend in Canada has advised that i wait till next year becos sending an early application might probably work against me and attract a reason for refusal. Whats your opinion pls....

There seems to be no preference for reapplications unfortunately!!... will still go on that same long wait.
Did you apply online or paper? And when were you invited for medicals?
Pls share your application docs and details. Reasons for delay and all.

I have the same issue as well, deferred admission till Fall 2017, I intend to reply early next year, reapply now may lead to denial with purpose of visit as their excuse.

My brother, all you need this time is prayer. Your update on this forum tells you applied via paper route. Paper route requires original hardcopy of SOA. I will suggest you file a Case Specific Enquiry about the subject matter. Pray and see how things works.

It is almost impossible to be denied after being called for medicals. Those who were denied after medicals are mostly people who did medicals upfront. Application assessment is in stages. The VO verify your documents to see if everything check out, of it does, they contact you approximately after a month of submission to go for medicals. If the result came out as PASSED, this probably takes about another month, they don't have any choice than to send you a letter of congratulations, telling you to go and pick up with international passport with VIsa stamped on it.

I am talking from experience, I did upfront in my last application, I passed medicals and was denied, if I hadn't done upfront, probably I would have been denied without having to waste money on medicals.
Just what I think though, gurus here can shed more light on that.
