Read what Oluwamalik wrote. He said he was denied after being invited for medicals. That was my curiosity

I didn't say you're wrong, it happens, just saying not in all cases. And if you read what I wrote to the end you will see what I wrote, it's what I experienced, it may vary from individual to individual.
I be applicant like everyone here, seeking advice on how to ensure my next application isn't denied

Bro, this your information is wrong. Before sometime last year, if CIC tell you to go do medical, it means you have gotten approved. But sometime last year, they started the new trend of medical and refusal. And I am a witness to it. After I got my GCMS file, I found out that at the stage of Medical, which I passed, after a short while (days or so) a final decision was made. So bro, dont think after medical all is well. All you should hope for is the final favorable decision, then the application is finally closed.
If I am wrong, someone should please dispute this.

abestine:

It is almost impossible to be denied after being called for medicals. Those who were denied after medicals are mostly people who did medicals upfront. Application assessment is in stages. The VO verify your documents to see if everything check out, of it does, they contact you approximately after a month of submission to go for medicals. If the result came out as PASSED, this probably takes about another month, they don't have any choice than to send you a letter of congratulations, telling you to go and pick up with international passport with VIsa stamped on it.

I am talking from experience, I did upfront in my last application, I passed medicals and was denied, if I hadn't done upfront, probably I would have been denied without having to waste money on medicals.
Just what I think though, gurus here can shed more light on that.

Bro, kindly share reason for refusal then. It's somewhat unfair though.... why make applicants spend money to do medicals when you know you wont approve their visas. Medical should be the final phase for issuance.

Please read the first statement ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE, I didn't say it's not possible. The fact that I was denied after doing upfront doesn't mean someone else will be denied after doing upfront and dat u were denied after been called to go for medical doesn't mean someone else will be denied after been called, different strokes for different folks.

Sorry about your delay. I think the main issue here is 'What your intended visit to canada entails'. will you be visiting friends, family, conference and its likes and how sufficiently you have been able to show relevance of this visit to your present situation. What do you do? what home ties have you demonstrated in your application that will compel your return after your short visit? I believe the issue bothers largely on 'why and who you are visiting'. Travel history may not significantly be an issue as most times it is not a 'stand alone' reason but if you have traveled before and contravened the conditions of your stay, this could play out. As regards your sponsor and funds, you didn't mention insufficient funds as part of the reason for refusal, so my guess would be that they believe the funds are available for you. But you need to give more details about your intended visit and other details of yourself as well as your present situation so people here can help you adequately. Best regards.

Exactly my point, and people should please endeavour to read someone's post to the point of understanding before saying he is wrong. We are all here for the same purpose, to get our visa application approved, the Lord will grant all our heart desire

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by abestine(m): 3:17pm On Oct 31, 2016
The normal procedure is to wait to be called for medicals, people do upfront medicals for so many reasons, like in my case, my admission letter came in March, if I am to wait for medical call it may be late so I decided to go for upfront. Others do it for convenience sake, they can't afford travelling long distance to go for medical when called so they do everything ones and for all. Which ever route you follow pray it favours you

Husband, American citizen and you want to visit Canada why not US?
A VO would probably think in this light.
If you so like Canada (as in one of your previous post), i would suggest you get a US visa (though takes longer for a US citizen's spouse), then getting into Canada from US will be a piece of cake for you.

You can still try with a strong LoE though!

A tip for all: Make good use of SOWP, apply for you and your spouse at the same time. No need trying visitor's visa for a spouse. Experience from inland show it is way better and in better stead to be granted.

What of we that we are single and not yet ready to marry? cry

I agree absolutely.... your husband's citizenship would have given enough mileage only if you were visiting America. Trust me... the way these people think ehnn... only if we realise most times that we're dealing with psychologists... yes dats what they are if you never knew!
Please repackage as advised... Oyinbo wants to see there is a purpose your intended trip is supposed to fulfil and what ties you back to Nigeria that will ensure you return after your trip.... shikena!!!

Oh i see..Well, in as much as your other intention of your visit is to have your baby, the PRIMARY purpose must be established and in accordance to their existing rules and regulations. From the little i know, Most holiday and tourist visas r predominately issued during the SUMMER periods (June-aug) and understandably, you had applied during this period earlier in your previous application but i don't believe this can affect a genuine reason to go for holidays during other seasons as you intend to reapply soon. Another thing they probably will be considering is why is she still deciding to travel for holiday during the winter period when it's usually not so comfortable for foreigners why isn't she going to the US where she has family and sponsor, Could there be other underlying reasons behind her proposed trip'?(Even though you know the reason) but from this info http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/processing/birth.asp , It's either you make your intentions clear to them about you going to have your baby (as giving birth in Canada does not represent a violation of any terms or conditions which may be applied to a temporary resident) or present a good case to them why they have to issue you a visitor's visa. but your PRIMARY intention MUST be known. You still have a good chance to securing the visa once this is addressed.

Absolutely. The person must give in his/her letter of invitation reasons for inviting you, show and state relationship to you, show financial status to caretare for you and all or any dependant(s). On your part, You must show strong home ties to compel your return at the end of your stay.(business, family, work, assets etc). Best regards.

Just what I think though, gurus here can shed more light on that.

From june/july last year approval after medical passed is 50 - 50. It is not matter either you re called for medical or you did upfront. The reason is best known to cic. What i think is that they do preliminary checking of ur document, if its okay they will call you for medical or update your medical as passed. After that they do final checking of ur application. Final checking is d most critical stage where they will confirm ur document may be they are bogus or not. Another thing we need to know is that not all upfront medicals are updated as passed before they are being denied. Some applications with upfront medicals are refused without passing medicals.

The main thing we need is God's grace on our applications. Lets package our applications well and hope for the best. God will not fail us.

It shall definitely end well.

THEY NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT MEDICALS, BUT THE REASON THEY GAVE WAS I DO NOT HAVE TRAVEL HISTORY (I HAVE TRAVELED TO S.A BEFORE IN 2013), THAT I DO NOT HAVE PERSONAL ASSETS WHICH I HAVE INCLUDED WHEN I REAPPLIED 2 MONTHS AGO.

Lemme chip in an elderly experience,People here just get nervous even with mere notification that ur application "has been forwarded to Canada for processing"..why draining yourself emotionally on just one country? instead of using the waiting period to explore other options atleast having an admission at hand while waiting on Canada.Canadian VOs are unpredictable.you may satisfy the whole requirements and still get refused, while some other with mediocre application will be granted.

Meanwhile, upfront medical oo,late medical call oo,early medical call oo,medical status changed to passed is no longer guarantee that you would be approved visa..

Until you get passport request if online application and status approved if linked online to CIC for paper routers before you may start atleast jubilating till you pick up you package from VFS,you can now paint the city white and red.

Lastly we should be careful about writing LOE/SOPs especially to PGC(D)/diploma applicants here.some refusals i have seen, show that the VOs try capitalizing on that to question ones purpose of visit in some cases which also in my perception according to some applicants profile is a reason to merely discard an application if they don't want to issue.

Pray for luck.
