TheSuperNerd:Enough of this experiments. Nigeria is not Chelsea and Chelsea is not Nigeria. Because it is currently working for “the blues” doesn't mean it will work for Nigeria. You do not carry out these kind of experiments against a highly rate African side(side) in a crucial game, the suggestions are unsolicited, and they should be opined during int'l friendlies, not in a crucial match as this. It appears that Rohr was hyperopic and proactive when he made the dictum “you do not change a winning team,” and I will interpret the “team” as tactics in this context. 1 Like |

blueto: if Mikel Obi is good enough, why did Chelsea FC buy Matic then Kante? Without doubts, his good performance in UCL 2012 final helped Chelsea to win first-ever ucl title, however, Mikel is uni-functional mainly for a bus-parking defensive style. Now that Chelsea FC is no longer parking the bus, his sluggish movement renders him incapable of fitting Conte's 343/352 formation. He should leave if a good club comes calling. His time at cfc is up. |

Loooolllll..... Why u dey worry urself naa? It won't be applied in the Algeria game. Period! It may be considered in friendlies as one of our back-up formation strategies but not to be thought of now with Algeria in view. So relax... Lolll Just wanted y'all to see how "reactive" and "excited" some Nigerians can be and to hear their views too. Looollll blueto: |

safarigirl: Did you watch the 2016 Euro final? It was full of negroids, and it somehow seemed like an African match Even the winning goal was produces by a negroid, so I think it wouldn't be unpalatable if some of our players look like caucasians |

tbaba1234:My guy this is not an excuse, trust naija that's d end of calling him to national team. Are u saying if Dutch team call him,d guy w not jump at it. I remembered Tunji Banjo,John chiedozie,Reuben Agboola and Efan Ekoku, this are d real guys despite being British born they showed that zeal and commitment towards national team. Recently Iwobi and Balogun, this are d real guys that have d opportunity to play for a better country but still chose Nigeria. Honestly am not blaming Ebuehi coz he has every right to decide which country to play for but he doesn't ve d right to tell us when to play for us and he should forget it like Onuah. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd:Just when I thought the SE defense is becoming more sturdy and invulnerable. It has been divulged in a report that the Algerians will be using the counter blueprint which will require the services of good defenders to foil. Inasmuch as Rohr should work on the defense, he should also work to expedite the attack so that more goals can be scored against the Algerians so that it can surpass any amount of goals that the SE may concede. |

That has been their main attacking strategy for their last 4-5 competitive games sef. And yeah, Victor Moses on the left to help echiejile counter Mahrez will be ingenious. Then Alex Iwobi does his thing from the right and still switch roles with Nacho. This could just be it!! The only issue now is our Right back. Omeruo or who? tbaba1234: |

Lordabas:In other word, your questions are, Why was Juan Mata sold for Oscar? Why was David Luiz sold? These players were doing very well for Chelsea until Mourinho came and sold them, and he couldn't justify such decision because Chelsea with Mata and David Liuz won the Champions league for Chelsea and Mata was twice Chelsea's best player of the season before Mourinho came and sold him. Why Conte is not currently featuring Mikel is palpable and it is not because his style does not beseem Conte's philosophy. Mikel has worked with many managers at Chelsea and not all of the centered on “parking the bus” And also, until I see the “unsluggish” Matic and Kante's combination win the Champions league, I will always rate Mikel ahead of them. 3 Likes |

And back to your point if Mikel Obi is good enough, why did chelsea buy Matic and Kante?OK are u saying Makelele and Essien are not good enough prompted Chelsea to buy Mikel.Pls what is so special about Matic that u are ranting, was it not d same Matic that sat on d bench for Mikel last season. 2 Likes |

Kog45: you really need to start reading well before talking, let me no insult you though. did I say he is coming back for his captaincy? I said if he does come back that he will certainly get it back because that's the right thing after all. your love for Mikel is turning you into a ridiculous fanboy, Wetin concern Mikel with Enyeama becoming the captain? if the coach says that he wants Enyeama back, don't you think that he has already discussed the captaincy with him? if the coach wants Enyeama as his captain then that's all, Mikel can go to hell for all I care if he doesn't like it. so you think Ikeme is better than Enyeama? Nigerians and their short term brains, there is absolutely zero comparison there, Enyeama is the reason why Lille is competitive in France. I can't even believe that somehow will believe that Enyeama can't displace Ikeme |

blueto:would look somehow....anyway, dude isn't coming now. Probably thinks he won't fit in with the team. He's grown up in Dutchland and then to play for Nigeria? Different language, foreign culture and he'll only have Iwobi and Kelechi to hang with, both of whom neither speak nor understand a lick of Dutch, must be hard for a 20-year old to adapt to. I wouldn't want to come either to be honest |

Just like in Politics where the “Wailers” objurgate Buhari's govt for indicting and clamping down on “corrupt” Judges and other public office holders for alleged grafts and malfeasances and also, how the “Zombies” slam and vilify against those indicted individuals and hail Buhari's govt whether it is done with ulterior motives or not. |

blueto: Not really. It is somehow funny. I loved Chelsea under Ancelotti. That was one of the best attacking teams. I do not miss Chelsea games then and people thought I was a Chelsea fan. I liked Chelsea during the turmoil time of Scolari. Like Chelsea under Gullit. Also Villas-Boas time too. That Champions League winning season coincided with the time Chelsea players messed Villas-Boas up and then Di Matteo chose the most shocking packed bus system. I just did not want them to win that season but they hurt a lot of teams like Benfica, Napoli (Mazzari, current Watford coach handled them) and Bayern. Glad Chelsea won the Europa because I liked Benitez from his time at Valencia. So the managers most times sways my support. My worst time in football was Greece winning the Euros, followed by the Chelsea Champions League triumph. |

tbaba1234:I don't think that “strategy” will be likely adopted by the new coach. The new coach will like to learn and anticipate against the mistakes of his predecessor so he wouldn't want Mahrez to be the cynosure/playmaker. Although, it will be advisable to keep an eye on him, but same amount of attention that is expected to be given to him should be equal with other Algerian players. |

I am with Kog45 when it comes to Matic/Mikel comparison. Matic is a good player. A nice one but he is not so special. The Mikel many criticised never had the kind of poor performances Matic had last season. Matic was poor and atrocious. Yet people will always place him over Mr Consistent Mikel. |
