Lets not all ignore the cries of our Morgan brothers. They have just reminded me that this is Nigeria and putting all your eggs in 1 basket is Very dangerous... Remember not only to diversify your portfolio but also the vendors also 1 Like |

Morgan Capital has caused undue loss to a lot of its customers. The situation is such that you can't take oppoertunities available in the market and you can't exit some bad stocks. This is really bad. And to think that the Nov 4th date may not work leaves one more perplexed. I don't even encourage having different vendors except you are big on cash. 1 Like |

maishai: PharmAlfred: Bros thanks for understanding what some people are going through unlike some that are acting as if people complaining don't have better things to do. Imagine someone saying 'people should quit whining about Morgan'. I just choose to ignore the statement. My luck is that i exited all 'try your luck stocks' and entered solid ones based on Q3, if not by now I'll be crying. Even at that there are some stocks one needs to take position in but no way. It's well, My God pass them. |

kentoto: If I may Sir, UBA: until it crosses 4.35 I'll not say it's going up. It's still within it's yield limit Dangflour: Has released a rather good FY 2015 result - coming from a loss position and they have a history of paying dividend, though I don't think the yield is that much so it's normal for there to be some increase in the stock price. FBNH: I'm not sure why anybody will be positioning for dividend in FBNH, when Zenith and UBA are on ground (GTB is over priced for dividend in my humble opinion). I said it when their result came out that paying good dividend now will not be their major priority for obvious reasons and they later confirmed it in their conference call. So.. |

For God's sake, is this how the NSE wants to boost investors confidence in the NSE? How on earth could they be so heartless to tie down peoples money?are investors the cause of Morgan's problem? This method is just too bad! It must be changed! |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by bigass(f): 2:35am On Nov 02, 2016 |
stokfrick: What happened in MorganCapital that resulted in this was really bad. The hard stand of NSE shows that you don't rubbish, stockbroking must comply with the rules. Unfortunately Any time a stock broker is suspended it's their customers that suffer. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stokfrick: 3:21am On Nov 02, 2016 |
bigass: Hope it has nothing to do with their charges. However, no matter what d broker's offence is NSE has no right whatsoever ever to take any decision that will infringe on the ability of the innocent investor to have access to his/her funds or stocks. Meaning that on the nse, one can wake up anyday and find out that access to their funds/ stocks have been blocked(even if the stocks can be transferred to another broker- an even more difficult process when d old firm is dead) Such impunity is even more worse than whatever sin of Morgan! |

Justcul: Morgan Capital, I want to agree has not been fair on us their customers. It took persistent pressure from us for them to come out with the NSE position. There could be other issues which they have failed to tell us. The Late MD disengaged long before he died. New management has since been running the company. They said Nov 4, I will log in on Nov 7. |

Nigeria’s oil production is
nearly back to normal
following a sharp drop
earlier this year due to
rebels attacking pipelines,
the oil minister said
Tuesday.
“The reality is that as of
today and this morning, we
are at 2.1 million barrels
production. That’s
substantial,” Minister of
State for Petroleum
Emmanuel Kachikwu said in
the nation’s capital of
Abuja.
Nigeria normally produces
around 2.2 million barrels
per day (bpd), but output
dropped to a low of 1.4
bpd this year due to rebels
attacks.
Addressing the press after
a meeting between
Nigerian President
Muhammadu Buhari and
representatives from the
oil-producing Niger delta
region, Kachikwu said “a lot
ofbehind the scene
engagements” were paying
off.
“Part of the expectations by
2017 is to target zero
shutdowns as a result of
militancy,” Kachikwu said,
describing the talks as
“fairly good, fairly civilised
dialogue”.
The meeting was attended
by Edwin Clark, a veteran
leader who spoke on behalf
ofsome of the militant
groups in the country’s
restive southern
swamplands, including the
Niger Delta Avengers.
Clark made 16 demands to
the Nigerian government,
including revamping an
amnesty programme for
ex-militants, reducing the
military presence in the
region and cleaning up
pollution.
The demands borrow
heavily from the Avengers,
who demand a greater
share of oil revenue and
also want the government
to finish construction of a
university.
Without peace in the Niger
delta, which produces the
bulk of Nigeria’s oil, Buhari
will struggle get the funds
needed to kick-start the
Nigerian economy out of its
worst slowdown in years.
But analysts point out that
his government can only
meet so many of the
demands.
“I think it’s the beginning
of the discussion,” Dolapo
Oni, energy analyst at
Ecobank, told AFP.
“We’ve seen the demands
and we know not all of
them can be granted, but
as much that can be done I
think Buhari will do,” Oni
said.
Then there is the issue of
rival militant groups
threatening any agreement.
On Sunday, the Niger Delta
Greenland Justice Mandate
group claimed an attack on
a gas pipeline, saying it will
“never support” the talks
and declaring “this is not
ending soon.”
