THE Niger Delta militants have disowned elders from the region who held a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday at the Aso Villa, Abuja, saying that the elders cannot represent them. -http://www.socialtimesng.com/2016/11/militants-disown-elders-meeting-with-buhari-wants-ex-agitators-to-lead-dialogue/ 7 Likes 2 Shares

This militants are correct. Those men are those like those northern ALHAJI that will come and represent their personal interest, collect money; pocket 90% and use the rest to share for the common man. They live in their mansions with high fences. They drive in ac cars and have no direct link with the poor of the ND. on the other hand the govt is at a loss on which militants to discuss with that represent a major interest in ND. 55 Likes 2 Shares |

These guys are jokers & "gbemites". Their utmost desire is hands on fund and not infrastructural development. They are trying to play smart by voicing holistic intervention whereas their body language is for individual/group contract awards from the FG. 3 Likes |

Exactly, the elders have played the game of deceit and shame for so long, that the young people who are genuinely interested and agitating for the development of their region, no longer trust them. I have been saying it, forget this elders, interact more with the youth, hear what they want, don't hand money to them, be sincere with the dialogue and consultations and believe me, if they see u are really interested in developing the land, they will be by ur side. If u continue this deceit, and settle with old rogues, 2 years down the line, the real agitators will start again, and the cycle continues. There is a reason the Igbo youths see the Ohaneze and all those red cap thieves as traitors, they only negotiate for themselves and their immediate families. Too bad! 8 Likes 2 Shares |

ObikeNkem: It is time for u to stop all these nonsense, if so, I wonder what Rochas and Ikpeazu were doing in the meeting with Buhari yesterday, if they are included governors of oil producing states. Go back to ur afonja mode and abandon this deceitful moniker. 19 Likes 3 Shares |

When your child misbehaves and you encourage him, goad him on to be rude and insolent to authority and those older than him. You should know one day, he will come back do the same to you and disgrace you. You will lose your authority over him, you will talk and he will tell you to go to blazes. Elders' impunity and refusal to discipline their children has come to haunt them. Edwin clark says militants are our kids and encouraged their lawlessness. Some of the militants even forwarded his name as a spokesperson, implying he is deep into their activities. Unfortunately they are telling him and other elders, they militants no longer respect them. They see them only as some lousy, noisy-making elders. Power to militants has changes hands. They created the monsters, let them live with the consequence. |
