Olusola Oke (AD) May Be The Biggest Beneficiary Of A Jimoh Ibrahim Win In Court by Davo93(m): 6:25pm On Nov 01, 2016 |
The pillars of smokes that flared from burning tyres on major streets of Akure last week bring back to memories of the post-election violence that ravaged the state in 1983. 33 years later, the state governor, Olusegun Mimiko has rushed to President Muhammadu Buhari to tell him the danger he believes the latest decision taken by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will pose to the stability of the state if allowed to stand. Davo93:To be honest ,you have a point. As the matter is now it is obvious jegede wont be contesting the elections. Jimoh and mimiko dont seem to get on well, which means it will be foolhardy for mimiko to support pdp, he cant support akeredolu because that will finish him off ,except he can strike a deal with akeredolu and apc before the elections. The most viable option for mimiko will be to throw his weight behind olusola and hope he wins . 7 Likes |

Jegede will triumph at the court over that joke called Jimoh. And he will win the poll |

AshiwajuFoward:Exactly, because already sherrif and Jimoh are been seen as agents of apc and buhari ,so majority of pdp supporters may not want to vote for them, apc on the other hand in ondo state had broken into 2,one part has moved over to AD ,AD seems to be the only party united going into this election. 5 Likes |

TonyeBarcanista:tonye u are still wailing and ranting up and down hmmmm . See u are on a long thing oo. Jegede name av been drop by inec and there is nothing u can do about it. This is rivers state that allows innocent blood to be sacrificed for their election. This is sw state that knows d do's and don't in the election process. So stay back and watch when the election will start. As at this moment Apc is waxing stronger and better in ondo state. It will shock you when u see d final results favoring aketi as the governor of ondo state. Ondo state needs change of hands not settling with the two factional party that does not settle things amicably among themselves. Pdp is gradually falling apart and they will fall to see the reality. So stay back and wail till mimiko handover government to aketi the record breaker in ondo state politics. |

If reports coming from Inec are anything to go by, Oke still has issues with Inec. According 2 Inec, due process was not followed by AD in making Oke their candidate. Last time I checked, they are yet to confirm Oke as AD's candidate. |

onatisi: For where? Akeredolu is in fact the most vulnerable as it stands. Abraham is already in court to challenge his fraudulent emergence and the courts have already summoned Aketi and Oyegun and asked that they be served. The courts could actually rule in Abraham's favour since the same courts have validated the merits of his case, as evidence abounds that Aketi's election was a sham: https://www.naij.com/1025707-ondo-apc-guber-court-summons-akeredolu-oyegun-photo.html http://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-west/213920-ondo-2016-abraham-akeredolu-continue-apc-governorship-battle-court.html Oke's problem is with some disgruntled bot members of AD who really have no case against him because his state chapter and Chairman of the AD have already accepted him (they are the only ones empowered and recognized by law to adopt and endorse his candidacy) and the only person who could've been a major stumbling block was the former AD candidate who has formally stepped down for him. He has no problem. 4 Likes |

dhantey324: Guy why are you lying?? Where is this 'report' of yours? Inec already closed Oke's case and has since replaced Olowookere's name with his after the latter voluntarily and formally stepped down for him so why are you trying to misinform people? Na wah for you o. 2 Likes |

AshiwajuFoward:But why is this ondo election so messy. Mimiko cannot afford to sit on the fence without supporting someone . I believe mimiko holds the ace card here |
Re: Olusola Oke (AD) May Be The Biggest Beneficiary Of A Jimoh Ibrahim Win In Court by AshiwajuFoward: 3:31pm On Nov 02, 2016 |
onatisi: No he doesn't hold the ace. An undivided APC minus the current poor performance at the centre would've resoundingly thrashed the PDP in the state, considering how divided the PDP in the state currently is, add to that Mimiko's current low popularity ratings. The APC did it during the last presidential elections (when the PDP wasn't even as divided as it presently is), dispelling the myth of Mimiko's perceived invincibility. But as things stand, the APC is probably just as unpopular as Mimiko is in the state, if not more so, no thanks to the party's abysmal performance at the federal level, and the division within the state chapter of the party. Forget o, many Ondo APC folks are working against the party in this election, especially in the Northern Senatorial district where Aketi (Owo), Borroffice (Akoko SouthWest/SouthEast), and Abraham (Akoko NorthWest/NorthEast) all hail from. This set are more like 'sleeper cells' who refuse to leave the party or openly speak against it, but are actively working to sabotage it from within. As it stands, Aketi needs the Akokos (who dominate 4 of the 6 local governments in the Northern Senatorial district) without whom he should forget the election. Mimiko could only deliver Ondo West and Ondo East LGs out of the 6 LGs in his supposed Central district powerbase to GEJ during the last pres. elections; he lost both Akure North and South (the largest voting bloc), Ifedore and Idanre to the APC even as a seating governor. That humiliation gave birth to his calculation to endorse an Akure indigene in the person of Jegede, in his desperation to sway their emotions and whip up sentiments this time around to support 'their son/one of their own' and help him stay relevant politically. Unfortunately for him, Sherrif don pour sand for him garri . In fact, the Southern Senatorial District of Oke gave the PDP the most votes in that presidential election while Mimiko failed to deliver upon all his noise, coz GEJ/PDP won in ALL 6 LGs in Ondo South. That's Oke's constituency and he's not just any politician but a seasoned grassroot type (he's worth at least 150k votes on his own), he can DELIVER the entire 6 local governments, while Aketi at best can only be SURE of Owo and Ose in the North (even the last time he contested and came third behind Mimiko and Oke, it was Tinubu's ACN structures that he rode on). The Central Senatorial district will be the battleground. 3 Likes |

TonyeBarcanista:tonye u are still wailing here hmmmmm do not worry november twenty six is around the corner . U will know who is the one that will win. As it stand, Aketi still has upper hand in this election. No doubt pdp will surely loose this election. So many electorates are ready to cast their votes for Aketi. |

AshiwajuFoward:u are very very funny with this your analysis here hmmm. Aketi and olusegun abraham av settle their grievances in Apc. Infact olusegun abraham rally round and tell his supporters to vote for apc in the coming gubernatorial election. If u read d link of the news very well abraham told all his supporters to vote for apc in the forthcoming gubernatorial election. So seat back and watch how d election will be. Apc is going to carry the day and win a landslide victory with huge margin. |
