Information for those seeking for their refund like me..especially for those who followed up when this our Canada journey started. Firstly,my previously intended school holds my 5589.90USD, you and i know what amount it will yield when it gets back to my account at the rate of current exchange rate in Naira Similarly, yesterday made it 2months deadline explicitly stated to get back refund but they failed.my annoyance rose and i started expressing dismay at the concerned via mails..i sent several (5) mails to them, narrating my displeasure, their sluggish and reluctant manner in handling issues and what could keep a transaction refund for uptill 2months. I told them your people at the embassy will refuse me visa (even after meeting and satisfying visa requirement) and causing me emotional trauma and you guys would subject one to another phase of torture by holding someone's refund for a longer period.i angrily told them if i could fly myself to that school,i would cause PANDEMONIA there, that inshort i have exhausted and got no patience in me anymore and the only language i want to hear in responding to my mails is that the transaction has been processed and i need it latest Friday if not i ll use my elder brother's lawyer in Canada to fight them for the inconveniences and emotional torture caused so far. Just as i may have it,this afternoon they responded back with several screenshots of the refund processing in their oracle database and a written note to fast-forward the transaction. The account officer also apologized and gave me a reference number to give to my bank to monitor the transit of the transaction incase delay happens so that i would be sure they did the transaction. So what i am saying in essence for those romancing words with their schools for their millions they are holding is, if they are delaying you,you got no option than to authoritatively express dismay and you may have your money sooner. 7 Likes |

judlice84:bro i have to sincerely, imagine someone in this recession period in Nigeria holding your MILLIONS for over 2months..bro i know you would definitely fight the person for holding back your money without any genuine reason.i confidently did that because it's my right and i ll never have any business whatsoever with them anymore 1 Like |

CannyZionist:those underage VOs can't be playing with my emotions.i may apply to Canada from any country abroad if i find reasons or wish to go on just visiting or work permit but not for studies,i have given up.the problem mostly hunting us is because we are Nigerians and applying from Nigeria.just as i read on German thread this afternoon.A Nigerian in Russia applied for German study visa and got approved without going for interview, presenting block acct/sponsorship letter which is a must you have to if you are in Nigeria and applying. so legally maintaining a status in abroad and applying to other countries is easier than lf you are applying from Nigeria. |

michV: I understand you bro. Its so disheartening how Nigerians are treated in Foreign embassies and no nobody is doing anything about this. The labor of our heroes past is gradually becoming vain (if not in vain already). Meanwhile, embassies make huge amount from Nigeria applications. Anyway, it can only get better. All the best on the other side. 4 Likes |

michV: Bro I understand how you feel and I must confess to you its not easy after submitting a perfect application and paying millions as fees one should be denied visa for a mere reason. I just believe its not the end of the world and I will make sure I put accra immigr.. in copy of my mails to my school when I am requesting for my refund. Atleast if I no fit go canny to study una go fit give me my money. |

Hello everyone, I need help with submitting my app. Has anyone use GTB naira card for submitting school application fee lately? I heard it is not working again. Mailed my interested school and they replied bank wire transfer as alternative. Went back to GTB and was told Sending money abroad via Western Union isn't allowed again but you can receive. Now, I am confuse on how to submit my application and deadline is fast approaching. Please I need help. If you can or have anyone abroad that can help to pay while I send its equivalent to the person's/ family local account, please signify or PM. Or if you can suggest another alternative that won't require me to open domicially account- can't afford it's minimum balance and extra charges- despite funding it with aboki dollars, I will be glad. Generally, I need help to submit my application. Thank you. |
