What Nig needs isn't degree awarding but technical skills education. This is creates job not empty degrees obtained by cramming notebooks from lazy lecturers.
We need electricians that know what to and how to fix things, carpenter's, mechanics, painters, plumbers that are trained to be kpako not the suegbe types everywhere now.

Clifford university is in isialangwa north Abia state. it's the second university operated by seventh day Adventist church in Nigeria. it's located on where used to be "Abia state senior science school ihie".When the school was handed back to the church by the state government, it's was decided that it's enormous Lands would be best suited to host a university.

Those of you saying more universities will churn out more graduates without corresponding jobs, now I ask you, would you prefer students shelve their university dreams because there are no immediate jobs in sight?

High rate of unemployment aint an excuse for citizenry to be illiterate. Do not blame the institutions for the high rate of unemployment but curricular and reasoning of graduates. Churning out half baked and analog graduates is the root cause. What do you expect when most secondary school students rely on expo to pass waec and cheat their way through higher institutions. Stop looking at the surface/facade bro but the root cause of the issue which is corruption and laziness on the part of our lawmakers who should rejig school curricular. Every citizen should be well educated if possible up to higher institutions because literacy begets a safe environment. Being literate makes one less likely to be brainwashed by fanatics. What is the ratio of number of universities in the country to people earnestly seeking for admission? My take though

Stay away from premature evaluation: always read the article in question before displaying your pre-conceived ideas. In other words, the Universities being referred to here are privately owned Universities: where did you get your assertion that FG wants to build more Universities? This is just about licensing of existing private universities and nothing more.

Hmmm....

We need functional industries not university that will make more than half of its graduates redundant after school.
