IPOB should join Politics, so if on a successful seccession from the Nigerian country, they will already have an organized system in place to continue governing themselves. Prior to independence, do you think there would have been Independent Nigeria had Zik not formed NCNC, Awo AG and Bello NPC in order to wrestle Power away from Colonialists? Even the Scottish people have a pro-Independence Party through which they muscled for a Referendum. An Organized Party gives you a Recognition, legitimate recognition and platform, internationally and within the country. All these FB, Nairaland and Radio Noise without a legitimate movement(Party) for your cause will just be seen as mere Noise, Attention-Seeking and Propaganda and you guys won't be taken seriously until you take your Movement seriously by having a legally recognized Party. Even the persecuted Jews had their party before they were able to gain Independence. Nigerians and the World don't hate you, but if you must do something you must follow the appropriate process, otherwise you'll have unrecognized Heads. Forge a Party to further your cause and you'll have more recognition and legitimacy. #A Nigerian's Advice. 3 Likes |

Funnicator: Everything above is complete nonsense. So when IPOB manages to win every political seat in the SE/SS area and they go to the National Assembly and move a motion for independence, the other 4 zones will just vote it out. So whats the point? By the way, which political party did Lord Lugard form when he was making you a Nigerian? 20 Likes |

gidgiddy: Referendum is alien to our constitution so there is no ground to argue it in the Red Chambers, at this point this is where the International Community may understand your plight, having been mandated by your people to seek an exit from Nigeria but referendum is unconstitutional, the UN can now discuss with the FG and subtly bend her to veto a referendum. Truth is if you don't legitimately seek mandate of Igbo people in order to represent them in Biafra talks your rantings will be seen as handiwork of jobless millions of people. Even Ojukwu got the mandate of the Eastern Regional Assembly before proclaiming Biafra. Who now gives you the mandate/strength/authority to proclaim Biafra? See my point? 4 Likes |

dEastActivist: Apga is doing beautifully in Anambra, why can't you through IPOB, beckon on other Eastern states to welcome Apga through the SE so it becomes an Umbrella to garner International Society to the Biafrans. APGA will be a bad idea too because it's constitution is not pro-seccession. A new party with new constitution rooted in pro-seccession is the way to go. Nobody can clamp down on you by so doing that. 1 Like |

Unfortunately, they can't form a political party without the sophisticated Afonjas & some northern elements. They simply lack the sagacity. Ask Ojukwu, he was rejected as a political leader but heralded as a rebel leader. They're only good at rebellion. Kiss the truth! 5 Likes 1 Share |

TimeManager: LOL. Maybe if they keep trying they can get it right because truthfully, with their tactics of online rants, Biafra will forever remain an utopia even to the 5th Generation to come. This is just the best way. 5 Likes |

APGA is the only regional political party still in Nigeria today. AD and ANPP merged with CPC to form APC. APGA is the only regional party that didn't sell out 3 Likes |

SignalTNA: Yet the Anambra HeadQuarters failed to market the Party properly to her sister Igbo states. Intraparty fightings as it is now in PDP-double Chairmanship: led to APGA Governor Okorocha of Imo state to decamp away from APGA and render the Party a One State Party. |

Funnicator: All these concocted scripts of fiction and lies. You should be using your talent for spinning make believe tales in Yoruba movie production. Since we are telling each other lies, so AD govs decamped to APC because TINUBU had issues with afenifere? lmao Anyway back to the matter, AD is dead and buried. APGA controls 1 state but AD controls none. And never will 6 Likes |

I agree Ipob should form a party or Join APGA and test their popularity in the south east Let them operate like the Scottish National party led by Alex Salmond that fought for independence as the ultimate goal while also on a day to day basis running the economy, welfare and other affairs of the Scottish people These days they are led by Nicola sturgeon 2 Likes |

SignalTNA: You are derailing the thread. Even APGA can't suddenly become pro-seccession unless they welcome new members/executives that will review their Constitution. Everything has a well laid down rules. IPOB either forms a pro-seccession party or they join APGA, redefine the constitution and pursue their goals through it. AD, Tinubu and co are discussions for another day, you can open a thread for it. What I'm saying here was same thing Onyema Minister for Foreign Affairs advised you guys to do but you're so myopic and ignorant to understand the points of a man who understands International Politics and may stand a chance to garner international sympathy for you should you through his experience should you follow his advice of having a pro-seccession party. 1 Like |

OmidinaOlayemi: Your Radio feeds you with Hate, and doesn't lobby for International Support, even if it does it won't get any, because it is a pirate radio. We all know Radio Biafra has been nothing without Kanu, in his absence it will gradually die, just as APGA died in Ojukwu's absence. Did Yoruba's shun Scotsmen for joining British Politics and seeking for referendum? Don't be clever-by-half. 1 Like |

Re: IPOB Should Join Politics by Igboid: 11:18am On Nov 05, 2016 |
That's the only pragmatic means of taking the struggle to the next level, I had suggested it to them( IPOB/MASSOB) many times on this forum and other forums, but they turned it down on each occasion. So I had decided to let them be, after all they are not stopping me or any other pro Biafran out there from building a pro Biafran secession political party in Nigeria. I don't support IPOB/MASSOB approach towards achieving Biafra, as I don't think their method is effective, but I wish them well, as I long for Independent Igbo nation, which is IPOB goal. 4 Likes |

Igboid: Please go ahead and build the party, no one nor the Nigerian constitution stops you. Political parties built on ideas tend to last longer than those built with money, like PDP & APC. Once Pro-seccessionists see the point in your struggly, you'll suddenly have millions of followers of your pro-seccession party. Just as NKanu stole the crowd at the inception of IPOB after MASSOB lost their focus, so will you get followers since IPOB have no political wing for execution of their cause. Do forge it biko. 2 Likes |
