Checked the website and was surprised to see so many different species of tomato and pepper. Question is how do we know which suits the south west and which is disease resistant. I just witnessed an outbreak in our school garden. Though we are planning on replanting soon. Any help will be much appreciated |

I just came across this thread while I was researching about starting my own little tomato farm. I live in Lagos and I have no backyard, so I decided I'll plant my tomatoes in containers on my balcony. But I would like to know if the process is the same as if I'm planting directly in the ground, do I have to spray, apply fertilizer, do I also have to start from the nursery then transplant? I would appreciate answers to these questions. Thanks in advance 1 Like |

[quote author=Kizyte post=51272972]Selective removal of part of plant such as branches and buds that are not relevant.[/quotprior Thanks for that. Also I want to rain prayers on your head that God in his absolute mercy continue to gives you abundant wisdom and knowledge. You shall advance from garden practices to own an hectares of tomatoes production. You shall go higher than what you imaging. I followed your practices bit by bit and am sure it has help and even changed the moral of some people to go back to farming prior to some serious comments am seeing here. This is what our government failed to imbibed in us to make farming attractive, but you have just done Justice to it by using a real life practices to show lots of people. Though, i don't have a backyard because am currently staying in Lagos but will definitely order the seed and think of what next. Thanks a million times. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Thanks for sharing. I planted a couple of grapevines and realised they needed some support. Now I've seen your stakes I know what to do. I've just planted some UTC tomato seeds and hope they end up as good as yours. Cheers 2 Likes |

After more than three months of waiting, I received a notification from nipost that my package just arrived. I can't wait to start planting because here in Aba, Abia state, if the tomato do well I can monopolize the market at a subsidized price since there won't be need for transportation. All thanks to this thread and Kizito. Am on the path to the life I once thought of, making life easy for humanity 1 Like |
