so it can never be changed right? In a country where you have different religions and ethnicity, a particular religion is domineering and you see nothing wrong with that.. Since they're making changes on the logo, why not change their Arabic signs and put something more neutral and acceptable which is English, even if it's the same meaning.... When other neglected region start agitating for their freedom,,, then you will remember one Nigeria....
Mind u, m from Niger Delta, Nigeria has bigger problems than the Nigerian army logo. I agree that it should be changed to English, but I don't think is something we should make a big deal of. Issues Like this is not suppose to cause any religious or tribal sentiment

As there is red cross, so also there is red crescent. Red crescent is the red cross for Muslims.

MODIFIED: And there is no cross in the Navy logo, that is an anchor, can't you see the pointed tips
Like it or NOT that Arabic Text will remain there... shameless boy jaki

as a matter of fact the Nigerian army puplic relations owes it to the general public to come out and explain WHY the inscription is written in Arabic which is not a nigerian language.

Why displaying ur ignorance freely to Nairalanders? That's not a portion from the Qur'an, it's actually an Arabic way of saying' Victory is from God alone'
Come to think of this: why is there a cross on red cross logo?
Why is there a cross on Nigerian navy's logo? Are they meant for Christians?
ignoramus that is not cross but an anchor.

Why must it be Arabic and not English which is the lingua franca of Nigerians.

This country is not an Islamic country for crying out loud, why must their be an Islamic motivated inscription written in Islamic language.

Latin is one of the ten languages that made up our modern day English Language. What does Arabic have to do with Nigeria? EVen core northerners who go to Arabic countries cant speak the language or understand apart from reciting words from the holy book.

It doesnt bother me what is there but wouldnt it be better if it were English, a Nigerian language or even a combination of Nigerian languages? Rather than a language 90% of Nigerians cant understand.

Lol.. please abeg i don't have power..

let's just agree to disagree

You must be silly. Is Redcross a govt organization? Which nigerian navy logo did you see cross on? You are just a muslim thats why u support this stuff. We are not a muslim nation. Therefore anything that depicts a certain religion ahould not be found on our national belongings..
I couldn't agree any better.
our lingua franca is English, not Arabic.
why isn't it written in English, if there's no plan?

Where do I even begin to educate you.

First, I don't really give a shit about whether there're igbos in the Delta or in the Niger and I don't really care one way or the other if the entire SS decides to secede with the SE today. It doesn't affect my daily routine.

Second. When making comparisons, you compare like things, like apple and oranges, and not apple and akpu. I hope you got that. Yorubas everywhere practice one religion or the other. It doesn't make them less Yoruba.

This isn't the case of somebody trying to force some people to be part of them like you are doing.

The Yorubas in Ibadan practice Christianity and Islam. Ditto for those in Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Ondo, Ekiti, Ilesha, Kabba and so on. I hope you understand.

Northerners Army's logo just got modified. Nigeria has been sold out to islamic world long ago. Yanmiri zik and Yoruba Awo were forced by cattle boy Bello to accept the Arabic inscription or forget about independence.
I think you got your History wrong there. The North did not want to continue as part of Nigeria at independence; rather they wanted to secede. The were convinced to remain by Azikiwe. You may want to ask Azikiwe why he convinced them to stay.
