MikeCZA: the army has become more open in this campaign and this pic being circulated has even made Nigerians understand the sacrifice the military and country is making. everyone is talking about it and in solidarity with the military. it's a propaganda W for the army cos BH bragging about this won't mean anything. 1 Like |

we must go offensive... make cross-border deals with all ecowas nations....declare state of the emergencie till the gates of libya.. we must push the battle fronts out of west-africa....the final battle can only be in libya...not in nigeria... |

thedarkside:i hope you know that the army are fighting people they dont know...its not like boko haram soldiers have 'boko haram insurgents tattooed in their forehead......once they are into niger, they could spread out and to your surprise thesame insurgents you know wilk turn to civilians, enter back to nigeria through our porous borders, regroup again and continue their attacks. its not as easy as you say it |

MikeCZA: Look at how they have been used today. Most of those recon units have dedicated air support. In the roads I've seen, all the commandos dismount and conduct operations on foot. Call in air support, and leave. The vehicles aren't actually used per say. |

thedarkside: This is the global military thread. We also all comment there. The essence of having multiple threads is for conformity, uniformity and detail. There's also an African discussions thread were you can take your African discussions to. www.nairaland.com/3220297/technical-discussions-international-military-equipments/75 |

你们看见尼日利亚的舰艇吗? have you all seen nigeria's new naval vessel? |
Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by Nobody: 3:41pm On Nov 06, 2016 |
giles14: The Sigma, especially the Frigate is a big beautiful ship. Have you seen the Sigma Frigates built for Indonesia?"...... They are crazy beautiful. The 190 MKII Fouladou is beautiful, however it is unlikely that we would buy ships of her class, very unlikely. Instead, the navy would go for Corvettes and Frigates. The Type 056 obviously is a contender. If we can add Sigma Frigates also, that would be nice, although i hear they are quite expensive. For the OPV 190 MK II, it's something we can build. From the experience gained from building the Karaduwa, Andoni and Ugwu, we should naturally progress to building vessels like the Fouladou. We still do need a lot of patrol ships. We need at least 3 more ships in the same class as the Karaduwa and Fouladou. |
