Phones that are not allowed into America and Canada suddenly become the toast of third world countries. No wonder Africa is a dumping ground for inferior technology.
You shouldn't refer to tecno as inferior technology if you haven't used the phone. Have you tried the new phantom phone?

I've always been a lover of tech. So it's amazing to see a brand like Tecno innovating to create more. The Phantom 6+ has shown that they mean business and they took their time to create a masterpiece.
They really took their time to create the masterpiece

iOS all day everyday.
Samsung is also 'made in china' buy they've really grown their brand. Tecno is also doing the same; its not about the country in which it was made from, its about the specifications of the phone. and the quality. Tecno has that now.

People who are not willing to try new things are the ones that will die with Tecno. I use to be like that though until I was rescued by my by a dear friend who recommended a wonderful device that is very affordable, durable and wow.
Honestly, I didn't like tecno until I tried their new phone versions.

it's sad to see a person who doesn't know that over 90% of phone brands these days are made in china.

So after using your phone to read your HR, what do you do next? What are the significances of different Heart rates.....what is the relationship of bradycardia to Tachypnea? How do you manage Tachycardia. How do you approach Bradycardia.....Have you heard of Heart Sounds? Why make a fool of yourself. They put a feature on a phone that is only relevant to a Medical Doctor and you are using such feature to slay other devices?
I have said it before that Samsung is fond of equipping their phones with useless features. They even went to the extent of putting Pulse meters to measure Oxygen Saturation.....how many people will use those features apart from Doctors? And you are making noise about such specialist features. My friend keep quiet!

Are you aware that even the latest S7 edge cannot be used for VR viewing for more than 10 minutes without overheating? The VR system will warn you to turn off your device immediately it starts hitting extreme temperatures and you know your device's worth and had better heed such warnings unless you wanna fry your gadget! I am not even talking of 360 videos ooh. So now tell me what's the point of your VR headset when your device cannot withstand its operations. That is why we keep saying Apple are the king of Optimization. If Apple make their headset, they are sure gonna optimize it to work with their iPhone, trust me! Samsung waste too much cash!!! They should divert those monies to invent their own operating system!!

Plenty shi#t u talking nobody gives a Bleep about ur Tecno crap as far as gsm arena and android authority no see ur device .......svck a big black dick

I always tell people to look out for specifications rather than brand name. Tecno leads in the area of specifications.

Exactly to your first point! I will rather have a device that meets my specs rather than do a brand that will leave me looking for additional resources. No money to waste!

Samsung needs to upgrade that their 8" tab else heavy users like me will swerve to a more functional tab like Tecno.

yes, it has to an extent.

but op I disagree with some of your points like
'...But we also know that they waste a lot of cash by equipping their phones with useless features that the average user will never deploy, a good example is the Smart features on their galaxy line of devices like "smart stay, smart scroll, smart pause etc.

Blooda receive sense
seriously, WTF is that?

have you tried your phantom 6 and the plus on any VR headset and see if it supports it?

it's not that they're not allowed, it's just that tecno chose to focus its marketing in Africa and is now expanding into the middle east. If u took a tecno phone to USA, no one will stop u but it wont work because guys there use different network bands, likewise most phones made for usa market wont work in Africa, does that mean those phones are not allowed in Africa?

Says who??

I have once used an Infinix phone while in UK. The GSM technology is a world standard and all GSM mobile phones meet that standard. Whether you are in America, Africa or the Middle East. A mobile phone with a standard IMEI will suffice!

I will not make comments on most of the ignorant posts here because most of the posters have below average intelligence of the Mobile technology.

I used the N3, Phantom 6.. Since then I've used
Samsung S2, S3, S4, S5 for a while, and current S6 Edge.

Sleep and Death different, you will think you get the same value for your mobile if you're using a Tecno phone, it's a big lie.

I'd use Huawei (the P6 was nice at the time, but it had over heating issues) and Xiaomi 50 million times before I touch a Tecno again

The Boom J8 was massively over hyped. It turns laggy over time, Piss poor camera that can't even be compared to the old iPhone 5 or Samsung S4 and people kept over hyping the piece of crap phone

If you want good Chinese phones, Huawei and Xiaomi can not go wrong, not stupid Tecno that's not even on Gsmarena
LOOOOOOL. You've used the phantom 6? The one that came out two months ago? How much did you buy it? Please the phone is very good and for you to make your statement I can confidently say that you haven't used the phantom 6.

Heheheh! I am a new convert to Tecno... Was shopping for a tab (8"wink and Samsung version was ridiculously expensive compared to the Tecno version (Droipad cool despite the fact that the Tecno tab had better specs than the Samsung one..

So coming from a Samsung fan.. Tecno had improved significantly! and possibly try one of their phones later on when i am tired of my Samsung..
You have that tecno droipad? That's nice. Hope you're enjoying it.

You talking something else, is obvious you are an average user because if you understand tech. You will know that Android gives you flexibility a lot and ios is a prison that is why exploiting the phone is called "jailbreak" in essence your iPhone is the passenger jet, cuz is restricted, and Android is the private jet because of freedom,,,,,,, don't mistake cost for class.

Bros! I willing to try them out rather than just condemn them to the dustbin... I am a Samsung fan but specs for my gadgets trump any brand name. Moreover, i had checked the two devices side by side (physically) as well before opting for the Tecno... both had sleek designs and the tecno has more that is required for what i need the device for...

As for me, i'll still prefer Samsung mobile...reason been that irrespective of how many spec the Tecnho mobile as a brand pose to have, their durability on the long run is something of concern.

There are other low end phones in the US like Huwaei but the likes of Techno do not meet the acceptable standard which is why they are shipped off to third world countries in Africa.
