Are we truly winning the war? only God knows how demoralized these soldiers are right now. Losing a brave leader, whom they seemed to love, and also recall they recently lost 83 men to BH. Media houses aren't reporting true situations in NE. Why hasn't this present govt procured any weapon? what have done with our defence budget? Why did we withdraw the mercenaries. Seems initial upper hands were GEJ's efforts; weapons he bought and mercenaries he put in place. This govt needs to stop politics and fight BHTs holistically. 227 Likes 14 Shares |

Bring back the macineries and then mobilize with every thing we have, though such radical ideologies are not often defeated with brute force but with superior ideologies. 1 Like |

"So how did we achieve the initial upper hand, cutting down Boko Haram down and capturing territories from the terrorists? The upper hand started in February 2015 due to the arrival of T-72 tanks in the theatre. Chadian troops also assisted in mounting pressure on Boko Haram terrorists at the same time. This resulted in Boko Haram splitting their forces to several places at the same time. So how did we lose the plot? Recall that there were mercenaries that fought with Nigerian Army troops in the first and second quarters of 2015. Yes Boko Haram seems to have good strategist who study our modus operandi and cause them to adjust accordingly. The Nigerian military may need to reappraise its approach to counter insurgency operations. Those mercenaries really assisted us and their withdrawal signalled the gradual regrouping of Boko Haram terrorists. This is because their withdrawal was sudden and not in phases. But why was their withdrawal sudden? The new government terminated their contract. What did the mercenaries bring to the table that our troops lack? They came with armoured fighting equipment. Above all, they had night fighting capabilities." The upper hand recorded was not Buhari's doing but Jonathan's! 174 Likes 16 Shares |

We shouted about these stuff earlier and they called us wailers. Now, the mercenaries were withdrawn because according to Buhari they were not doing anything and our troops were more than capable to defeat a ragtag band of insurgents especially with himself (Buhari) personally leading from the front! He said GEJ bought expired weapons and told us he was going to buy what we have never seen before. But till this moment, we are yet to see a common Shilka Gun 149 Likes 14 Shares |

Jonathan was the one that even made them get the upper hand but they released propaganda that jonathan did not provide the necessary support even though he was the originator of the meceneries support. Buhari ended the contract with the meceneries. All we can see now is that this government is getting praises for a feat it didnt achieve. I have every reason to believe that the army is cutting deal with boko haram from this incisive revelation as buratai continue to sacrifice the lives of young men to his friends 88 Likes 2 Shares |

Wow millitary man Buhari lost upper hand. I'd expect more from him in this regard after studying in American war college. I think the issue is foreign funding funding. Boko haram is likely getting funding from their whahabbi ideological master from Saudi Arabia. If we cut the tap they won't be able to sustain themselves. Boko haram will have no were to run because the have enemies on all sides of border. 4 Likes 1 Share |

->The summary being that lack of functional weapons is the major cause of our downfall, coupled with moles in the military. ->The solution being that military needs serious intelligence to be able to fish out saboteurs and the FG needs to do its job by making sure our defence budget is managed how it was planned by creating financial transparency in the military. 3 Likes |

Sabos everywhere,we keep wasting the best and brightest minds in our midst on the altar of politics and sectionalism. Nigeria eats her babies,it is all about all man to himself and immediate family, then any wonder y most aren't ready to die for her? It's grab and grab as much as u can wen the opportunity presents itself. Who remembers or talks about Samuel Okwaraji anymore, twenty seven years after his demise while on active duty ? They leave us with the impression that anyone who dies while on active duty is on his own because no sooner has the person's remains been interred than he will be forgotten...... 4 Likes 1 Share |

I have not seen much of a game changing strategy in the conduct of this war. A slight improvement from dumbo but it is still archaic. Where are the cattack helicopter gunship that Nigeria should be buying in numbers? At least 100 should be bought and be available within 15 minutes to support any unit under attack from these terrorists As usual,My guess is that tribal considerations is over riding good judgement in the choice of commanders. 1 Like |

There is nothing as dangerous as fighting a man who has openly shown he's willing to die for a course. Clearly this is the major challenge BH poses to our military. Time for bickers and banters is over, lets all collectively confront this monster threatening our co-existence. Nigeria is at war. The truth about BH can never be known by mere simplifications of religious and ethnic bias. It transcends the obvious facts wherewith. How did a small group of religious enthusiast rapidly turn into a monstrous BH. Maybe we can start telling ourselves the truth by looking critically into that narrative. Nigeria needs help........ Osezzua: GIant of africa asking for help for a threat they fostered. These guys are funded by Saudi Arabian money. They follow the whahabbi doctrine of extremism demanding sharia. Our millitary probably has moles tipping off these boko savages. If we got serious about taking out threat they would be dead and burried. The issue is the people on ground support the currupt ideologies these idiots want. I agree we need kill the Boko haram threat. After that we need to roll back the Islamic sharia and religious influence in government. Demand education and work program for these illiterate populations. This way they won't be so will to join death rape cult. 11 Likes |

It's clear now that we are losing the war, I said it before that their is no need to place order for brand new weapons when your already at war because they take time to build and your best shot is 2—4years before they start arriving and by then war is lost or won. The best thing to do is buy used weapons from your client inventory and work on it for speedy delivery to the theater and that's how Jonathan and Dasuki got the upper hand in this war... Buhari ordering of brand new attack helicopters is to be blamed for what this boys are passing through, he should have spent that money in buying from Russia black market of used Mi35 attack Helicopters and equip it according to the needs of NE theater, acquiring of more used T72 from Russia, Ukraine and Czech Republic would save us time. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Emekamex: This afonja has twisted it again. The best summary is that your bubu is a dulle and deceiver. From the information, buhari has been feeding us lies, he has been giving boko upper hand with his orders and rulings, he has been receiving praises for what he did not achieve ( though we know b4 now that he doesn't take responsibility of any ugly condition even the ones he caused but we will be fast to gather all praises and claim being responsibile for good results he might not have known where the thinking and thought was done. Buhari is boko haram and boko haram is buhari. This is another way he has to champion his islamic ideology. 26 Likes 1 Share |

Meanwhile. Buhari promised to lead the war against bokoharam from the front. What he is doing inside our pool of petrodollars is what we don't know and has even drained it without adding a digit to his kg. Buratai only comments, i wonder when he will be in the forefront of the war with Bubu. Someone please tag that yoruba pastor called Osu something and tell him we can't see bubu in the war front as he promised. Fact is, under buhari everything is turning around for the worst.
