We do not refine most of our oil,that is true.But it is not because we lack the capacity,it is due to lack of maintenance of our three major refineries by successive governments over the years,so you see,it isn't a structural problem,its lack of good governance (which South Africa is also guilty of)......But fret not,we have some major investors,especially Dangote building the largest refinery in the world in Nigeria,it would come onstream by 2018.






I think you shouldn't concern yourself about how backward and slummy Nigeria is: like it or not,we have already dwarfed you,and we will completely overshadow you in less than a decade time.
