The loser congratulates the victor and the victor was magnanimous in his acceptance speech. Obama and Trump will meet tomorrow to set up the peaceful transfer of power. No billions of $ was carted out of the country by politicians. Hope our people in Nigeria will take that into effect. Politics ain't do or die.

I debated this issue all day with a few colleagues today. In my opinion, this decision to vote a sexist, racist bigot as POTUS is one of the pitfalls of democracy. Brexit was another pitfall. Inasmuch as democracy is a government of the people, there are times (such as this) when I feel that the people shouldn't be given the freewill to make a decision that is inimical to commonsense. I could be wrong on this.

I'm not American, I'm British; but I'm bothered by this, because this decision to vote Trump will affect the policies of governments around the world, including the British government. Lets hope that the views he vehemently proposed whilst campaigning do not ever get actualized, otherwise my fellow country people back home in Nigeria will struggle to get visas to America.

I really think warren will run in 2020. She has a good chance. One of Hillary's problem is that she got 7m less votes than obama which means base was not energized enough.

You're right that the Dem base didn't turn out enough. She got 5% less of the Black vote than Obama; and 6% less of the Latino vote than Obama's 2012 haul. Moreover, when I saw exit polls that put Trump's share of the women vote at 42%, I knew it would be a long night because most polls (before the election) gave him between 33-35% of the female vote. Even White married women voted for him in greater numbers than they did for Romney and McCain(at least 11% more).

With regard to 2020, Warren would be 70 and could be deemed to old to be president by Democrats in general. I believe ageism was a substantial factor in Bernie's loss to Hillary in the primaries. If he was younger than her, he may have well clinched the nomination.
I'm going out on a limb to predict that NY Senator, Kirsten Gillibrand, Sherrod Brown, Governor Martin O' Malley, Cory Booker, California senator-elect Kamala Harris could be strong front-runners for Democrats in 2020.

On the Republican side, Trump's victory has put a premature end to the presidential hopes of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich, Jeb Bush et al. Pence would be their nominee if Trump declines to run for reelection. But all that could change if the economy goes into a recession/depression within the next four years. Then, the former opponents of Trump would be emboldened to challenge their party's incumbent VP, just as Reagan challenged President Ford in 1976.

May God add six years plus your remaining years here on earth. Some people who are calling Trump a racist here, are the actual racist themselves. Obama is black but the only legacy he and Hillary left for Africa was to destroy and gloried in the destruction of Libya, as well as the refusal to designate Boko Haram as a terrorist organization. Call it hypocritical wickedness. The worst part of it is that it was under a black president that the US witness a record killing of blacks by racist and kkk infested mad cops, and the sellout president did nothing about it. The economic fortunes of African American communities grew worse under a black president, with increased violence becoming the norm of daily living in African American neighborhoods.

Now, how do you expect them to come out and vote when they have been repeatedly lied to and neglected, even by their own brother?

What happened in this election is simply more of a protest vote, not that Trump was more credible than Hilary.

There is a limit a man can go when pushed to the wall; be sure to see last gasp show of indifference, and that's exactly what this election was about - despite all the wrong things Trump said and did, he still got elected.

Hell has no fury like the backlash from an indifferent voter.

The vote fraud was EPIC, but they never expected so many to turn out for Trump, they underestimated the anger of good Americans.
