True. Remember when some folks were claiming here on the forum that Conte plans to give Mikel a free role in Chelsea and I laughed them to the scorn. I was the first person here to predict that Conte would offload Mikel.

The problem with Mikel is that he plays very timidly when he goes to Chelsea. If he could play the way he plays for the SE at Chelsea , then another top team in Europe would snap him up fast. Now, I heard that he's contemplating moving either to Turkey or to MLS. Personally, I think he's too young to be contemplating such moves. He's only 29, let him stay in Europe. He can definitely find a team in serie A, if no EPL team wants him.

Super Eagles get new jersey for Algeria clash




The senior male national team, the Super Eagles, will this Saturday unveil the new Nike jersey when they clash against Algeria in a world cup qualifier.


Although the Jersey is a replica of what was used at the Rio Olympics by the bronze winning team, it was not official then being that the Olympics football event was not recognised by FIFA and as a result it did not carry the logo of the Nigeria Football Federation.



The all-green jersey has a white collar with the
Nike logo on the right chest area with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) badge on the left featuring Nike’s Dri-FIT technology.


Nigeria’s youngster Alex Iwobi confirmed his
readiness to put on the kit for the Saturday
cracker by tweeting “Looking Forward To Playing
In Our New Kit Against Algeria On Saturday. #
NaijaBrilliance #BIG17”



The new kit is part of Nike’s responsibilities in
accordance with a deal they signed with the NFF in April 2015.


The deal will see Nike kit Nigeria football national teams till 2018 or beyond.


The NFF signed a three-and-half -year contract
with Nike in 2015 that will see the US-based
sportwear giant provide products worth $3.75m.


Nike’s Dri-FIT technology allows players to
perform at their best by drawing away sweat from the body to the exterior of the shirts and shorts, where it quickly evaporates and makes players remain comfortable.

But still, I think he reinvented himself a little too much because every one that had played in the same position with him at Chelsea, from Michael Essien to Matic down to Kante, has played as a box to box midfielder. In the modern game, no coach wants a player who can only play on one side of the field (that's the problem Mourinho had with Eden Hazard at Chelsea two season's ago, and that's the problem Pep has with Yaya Toure's game).

U can't compare the coaching aspect of the club with the national team own. Sometimes, his work rate might not be noticed because only attacking players caught the eyes of audience. He played a great role in the chelsea team that won the UCL, he has done a lots for chelsea, he's not just in Conte plan and that doesn't take the fact that he's an amazing player.
