what about boosting points by getting a valid offer of employment in Canada. I checked using the CRS tool that it could add 600 points to your score if you get Canada job offer. There is a concern though. Some oyinbo agents based in Canada claim they can help applicants get job offer in Canada but you will be charged ( as high as 3000 CAD). Any one knows how true this is?
It'l be quite difficult to get a job if you haven't landed. The LMIA process seems tedious
Moreover even for landed immigrants it takes an average of 3months to get a job. Is the 3,000cad refundable if they end up not getting you a job?If its not, its not advice able.

There is no specific format. Just ensure the reference letter contains the following:
1. Letterhead and signature & name of HR/Manager/Supervisor
2. Your name
3. Office address
4. Job Title
5. Job responsibilities (This is very important. Your responsibilities must match 60% and above of the responsibilities written under your chosen NOC code)
6. Work start date
7. Salary
8. Contract Basis: Permanent/Temporary
9. Full time/Part time
10. Hours per week

So who do they address the letter to and can the same letter be used to apply for both EE and other Provincial Nominee Programs

I did express entry. No agent. I relied on info from senior folks here (thanks to everyone) and a bit of research. My score was 454 and I got ITA on Feb 24 (cut off was 453). I submitted my application on Apr 11, med passed/schedule A request Apr 14, BG in progress Aug 25 and PPR Nov 9. I paid rprf upfront. I ordered my 1st GCMS notes 2 weeks after submitting my application and I saw that initial review for completeness was done by support service agent by May 5. My 2nd GCMS notes showed agent review A11.2 (for eligibility) was done by May 14. 3rd GCMS notes showed officer review was done and security checks started on Aug 25 (same day my BG turned IP). My 4th GCMS note is due end Nov smiley

From what I read, I think there will be some changes in the crs score as from 19th of November. I don't fully understand it but there will be changes especially with points accrued from educational qualifications

Hello mighty soccer, I have also submitted my application for the same province and the status is application received even though My supporter has completed the settlement plan 2. I just think we have to be more patient to hear from them.
MIGHTYSOCCER:
Dear All,
I have submitted my Manitoba Provincial Nominee online application and a mail was sent to acknowledge the receipt.
A settlement Plan B form was sent to my sponsor on October 18th with a time lag of 30days for him to fill the form and submit.
My sponsor had filled the form twice and submitted but yet to receive acknowledgement. The last date of submission which is September 17th is fast approaching.
I need your urgent advice on how to ensure submission before the deadline .
Your quick response will be appreciated.
Thanks

From what I can see. They included points to people that studied in Canada.
For the other changes in qualification and English test, I can't make a meaning of it till they roll out the tool and we all recalculate

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by vcole: 9:56am On Nov 11, 2016
So they are extending the period for submitting eAPR post ITA from 60 to 90 days and now points are being awarded for Canadian education. 30 points for a 3 yrs post secondary study qualification or a bachelors or first professional degree or masters or a PhD and 15 points for a 1-2 yrs post secondary study qualification. Exceptions are for programmes with distance learning forming up to half of the study, programs without at least 8 months full time study with physical presence in Canada.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 10:43am On Nov 11, 2016
Yes, those are the major changes. Also, they are reducing points for job offers (arranged employment) to 200 points if you job is under NOC 0, 50 if the job is under other groups.

The new rules will benefit international students with CRS between 420-450 as their CRS scores will increase to 450-480.

Will this new change drive up draw cut-off? Probably temporarily, as more people will be within the 450-500 range. The good thing is that the cooks that are getting LMIA, which automatically lead to extra 600 points will only get 50 points. As most of them usually have CRS below 400 without the extra 600 points, their points will fall dramatically below 450. The only people in the pool with 600 points and above will be only people with provincial nominations. I see more people going for PNP routes as job route seem not to be profitable anymore.

Based on the above, I think the changes will not have huge impacts on the long run. The main question now is this: will the draw cut off go below 450? It is very difficult to answer that. I however think, it might. Why did I say so? From the end of year report, out of the over 18,000 applicant that got ITA through either PNP or job offer, only about 4,500 got ITA through PNP. The remaining 13,500ish were due to job offer. As the points for job offer has reduced, this will open more space for people with 400-500 CRS score. International students will take up some of the spaces. The remaining spaces might indicate that scores will go below 450. In addition, backlogs from old systems are being cleared gradually, which means the yearly FSW target will be mostly from the people in the pool

This is just my opinion. It still all depends on IRCC as they might decide to reduce/increase no of draws, cut offs or targets.

I agree with your analysis. There would be fewer people with crs scores in the 700s-1000s like before. Only persons with PNPs will have those scores. It also in a way helps students with canadian qualifications. So, some of them would no longer need to opt for a PNP to boost their crs scores. An extra 30 points can easily move a bachelors holder from 441 to 471 making him or her a much better candidate for an ITA.
There were also speculations before now that persons with canadian PRs or citizens as first degree relatives may get awarded points but in a way i am happy that didn't happen. It would have gone against the whole idea of economic migration in my opinion.

hello everyone here.
i will like to thank everyone present here for their contributions on so far.

i will like more insight info regarding the POF ( proof of fund ) when you are submitting your application to cic.
do i still need to leave amount showed on my bank statement untouched after i must have submitted my application cic?
for how long should this amount remain in my account before i can start taking out money from there?

please i need your honest opinion because i intend getting some cash from friends to make up the required amount needed and i wouldn't wanna just leave people hard earned cash in my account ,especially not at this point of economy meltdown.

thank you very much.

ideally, you should have the funds throughout the entire process (up to landing) as you may be required to provide updated POF at any point during the process. In my own case, even though it was my money, I needed to use it. So I waited until I saw that my POF had been been reviewed and officer was satisfied ( from GCMS notes - 5 months after AOR) before I started spending...still a calculated risk. I'll have to pull it back together before landing as I've heard of people being asked for POF at the airport.

Hello House,

I am a Registered Nurse but would like to migrate to Canada through the express entry.. I would like to find out if I will be submitting my application to World Education Services (WES) or National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS). I heard NNAS are the body in charge of evaluating nursing certificates.

I do not wish to make mistake or waste my precious time. So i would appreciate all your contributions.

Thank you
