I support this opinion. I think we can control inflation and unnecessary price hike by not starting rate. Next thing you know, you guys will form a cartel and be determining NL exchange rates. What happened to forces of demand and supply? If I place my $ at 460 and I don't get a buyer will I chew the $? Is the price not a reflection of the demand for the currency? Not like you guys sell at a loss, just cos sellers are now eating into your profits una want start to wail.

Interestingly, I have spoken to about 4 BDC both in Abuja and Lagos today. All of them are saying, they are buying 390 and selling 400. But they all say the don't have dollar at the moment. Seems they have all agreed this same reply. Maybe they are trying to artificially drive the prices above the CBN stated rate. So they are only buying currently at 390, no one is selling.
